Giovanni purtroppo nelle scuole non si insegna l'arte del canto così definita da Giuseppe Di Stefano, indiscusso patrimonio culturale unico al mondo. Pochi altri paesi possono vantare una simile magnificenza

SURELY listen again! Then, SURELY listen to a more mature Gianni Raimondi sing this aria in the RU-vid of the Franco Zeffirelli film La Boheme, SURELY it is Fabulous!! Then look up more of his recordings and SURELY be surprised! (The secret is - Gianni Raimondi was one of such greats, just not as well remembered.)
did not know those 3 you mentioned existed, i would compare this tenor to real greats like pavarotti di stefano etc. and i find this version much better.
Well that is a bit of an exaggeration PonsellaLover. Taste is very subjective and you need to stop romanticizing the past. It is nice to have these videos available to us now but each generation has great singers. Let us not say there are none left.
