Everyone is talking about the models but can we just appreciate that it's 20 something years later and I'd wear most of this.

Back when the crowd would clap and cheer for every outfit, I always felt like we should treat fashion shows like concerts

the pale lighting is amazing. gives the models an ethereal presence and makes these silky dresses pop. so gorgeous

I love the 90"s way models walking. So vibrant, with such character, simply divine

I love 90s fashion shows because the models never seemed rushed. They sauntered down the runway at a sedate pace and really let you admire the garments with how graceful and secure they were in their movements. Still stunning.

Now I know why Naomi cried so much when Gianni Versace died. She was Gianni's Muse.

Kate and Shalom just knew exactly which face to use for this occasion. Absolutely iconic and legendary. Those eyes!

No model can compare to a 90's runway girl. The quality of the models back then was at its highest game.

Those sleek, slinky walks. Those perfectly executed turns with swaying hips. Such poise and grace! That's 90s runway for you. 3

I love it. They were all very skinny yet there was curves. And everything is very classy - the make-up, hair, clothes, etc. Very chic. I kinda like that the spotlight is only at the models and the rest is pretty dark, you only focus on the runway.

This show is one of the most iconic... , the models, the fashion, the makeup, the character and facial expressions... Perfection! The clash between Shalom and Brandi is one of my favorite moments in fashion history!

When fashion shows actually had clothes you would wear. Instead of weird abstract pieces that leave u asking where the hands go.

I love how models laughed in the shows and actually showed emotion back then, it added to the clothes. Now days their faces are so mean looking and 'fierce' but it just ruins the vibe of the show

Amazingly the audience is applauding the models instead of the clothes. They gave life to the pieces they wore. Those days wont come. An unforgettable era of the modeling industry and I'm happy I was already alive to witness it.

Real models. 😍 No influencers, Kardashians or Instagram celebs. Just real high fashion models.

Looking at all this beauty i get the feeling that Gianni actually loved and adored the woman. Everything looks like it's made for her - to help her have an amazing day, to get her comfortable, to enhance the beauty she already has. Every piece is a compliment for her, and she knows that she's made to get it. 🌺 Hands down, it was unrepeatable era.

The team on makeup, hair, wardrobe, and etc deserve a round of applause because everyone looks gorgeous from head to toe! They look just like the finest luxury vintage Barbie’s (in a 2024 lens.) This was an amazing runway show! Executed perfectly. ♥️

Honestly, what strikes the most for me is how flattering everything is here: makeup, hair, clothes. It all makes them look beautiful and healthy. No bleached brows. No crazy makeup looks. No lifeless/ill looking makeup. No unflattering hair cuts and colours. Weird looks are pretty much the first thing most people think of when we they think about today’s runaway makeup/hair. Can’t we have healthy looking faces and luscious hair again for once?

Most iconic runway show ever; the clothes, the models, the music, the line-up, the ambiance-everything is amazing

Versace 1995 - smiling faces, healthy bodies and clothes that women could actually wear Versace 2021 - superskinny models, enormously high heels and crazy outfits that nobody would actually wear outside

This entire line up is iconic . From the clothes , that still influence fashion today , to the models sophisticated and vibrant walk . You can tell this was one of the peaks of fashion in history .

Ooh darling! It's the facials expression, the walk, the way of the hips that let me in awe and mesmerized. THIS needs to be brought back the freedom to express yourself and bringing such life into the pieces. Because each person had a unique way to their walks and expressions. Some used used eyebrow movements to emphasize their expressions, some smized ( skilling with their eyes), flirty looks, or serious stare. I saw one give a full smile, or a combination of these at once. And I felt like it didn't take away light from the pieces but added to it. To add, I felt that depending on the clothing, they changed their aura/energy. So it matched with the piece. like for example something flowy, they gave more sway in their walks or flirty eyes but in the suits, it was more serious, boss like. Now.... It's like moving mannequins....So lifeless. Back then they WORE the fits and added a twist with how they acted while strutting the runway but now a days the fits wear them. I am wholly convinced that the 1990s are an unrepeatable event in human history. This is a really great example of why I think this. Prior to the late 80s, it was a model's job to sell the product they were hired to promote. High fashion models were supposed to be invisible, to blend into the background and act as de facto hangers for the clothes they were selling. Enter the 1990s. The music industry changed dramatically with the introduction of grunge and ska influences to the masses. Cinema began to evole, CGI was introduced, Blockbuster on a Friday night was a BIG deal, and indie films were suddenly becoming much more serious and attention worthy. Art was being held as an important and viable, valuable creative outlet for many young people to explore and also be taken seriously in new, previously unexplored ways. The role of fashion and fashion models changed as well. Models became celebrities in their own right. The rise of fashion as an artform in a different context gave them the freedom through designers to show actual personality and performance in their shows. The models were allowed to be both characters and themselves while working. Healthy bodies, smiling faces, shining personalities, dazzling performances. This is also seen in the overlap between fashion and other areas of show business during this era (late 80s and 90s) So many supermodels were dating or married to actors or musicians. This is my comfort video and I have 3 reasons to justify: 1. The clothes. Everything is just absolutely gorgeous and I NEED them. It's an example of eternal fashion and I just love how everyone in the comments feel the same. The pieces are perfect in every single way and I wanna buy them all! They are still able to fit a lot of modern concepts and yet are so much better than a lot of the modern collections. 2. Can we just take a moment to appreciate the old runaway shows? Like 😅 idk if I'm the only one but I really like the old ones because of the model's attitude. They look like they love their clothes and they are acting like they could conquer the world in them. 3. The crowd! I mean, it seemed so interactive and people sound genuinely happy to be there and enjoying the whole experience. Almost as if the fashion show was a music show. That's all. Watching this makes me happy (sometimes I get scared cuz I feel like the models in the back might bump into each other but other than that its an enjoyable experience 😂).

When I was younger I thought I wanted to be a Victoria’s Secret model…now I’ve grown up and I realize I actually wanted to be a 90s Versace model! Love these styles and attitude of the 90s time period. I was a young child at this time so I didn’t get to appreciate fashion like I can now. These looks are wonderful! The fabrics are as gorgeous as the models. Versace was the best at making women look like goddesses. RIP Gianni, we appreciate your hard work and beautiful designs to this day. ❤

I can't get over the difference the bodies back then for models. These women look healthy. They have bottoms, hips, breasts and actual legs on them. They aren't rake thin, but voluptuous, yet beautifully slim w/ all the right curves. Not like other eras. I don't know if this is the type of models that Versace preferred, because some were saying this was the height of heroine sheik, but I'm not seeing that in this show.

RIP Gianni!!!! And I really miss those models, they were more “femme fatale”. I was born in 1994

Having just watched the Versace spring 2023 fashion show, a few things strike me about this. The models in 1995 were allowed to smile and seemed happy, they had curves and feminine bodies despite being tall and thin, and they looked to be having fun. The 2023 show features painfully skinny, woefully pouty and miserable looking walking coat hangers. Not one was recognizable, memorable or attractive even. The clothes were wonderful, the models pretty much ended with this era, in terms of beauty, personality and good energy. This makes me miss that era even more.

The early 90's was the golden age of Supermodels. The are all amazing but Yasmeen is beyond elegant and you can see that the Gianni saved his best work for her.

These models are literally the definition of ideal woman; tall, skinny, pretty, put together, clear skin.

Everything about these models are perfect. You literally can't find something bad to say about them. The outfit, the style, the makeup, the vibe, the emotions, their walk, their perfect face and body, literally the only way you can describe it is perfection. They're so gorgeous.

I've grown to appreciate the 90s fashion shows a lot. Back then, the walk felt like an extention of the outfit, expression and walk had a nice flair to it, but it never took the eyes away from the outfit. And despite this being so many years ago, almost everything is still stunning and timeless. And the models actually wear outfits that I very flattering to them. I feel like these days models often get put into outfits that doesn't neccesarily look good on them, but could look good on someone else
