Do their bites hurt? I'm sure they can break skin, but can they break fingers or anything? Are males usually more aggressive than females? Is there anything you can do the deter aggression?
I see you are wearing gloves. In my experience, the bare hand creates a less threatening interface between human and beast...I guess it goes without saying that the prodding causing the threat response? I not sayin’, I’m just sayin’...I think it is important for you respond to these comments, so novices (like me) will understand the context. Allow me the “straw” interpretation, for you to acknowledge or refute (or simply clarify): the intent of the video is to demonstrate threat vocalizations, and the gloves are to protect your hand because you are intentionally provoking what may become a hurtful bite, and were it not for the gloves and your actions, the Rhax would be calm and compliant, yes? Something to remember, too, is that rubber gloves are not friendly to Rhacodax teeth, right? I find that leather gloves (if gloves must be used) is always best for the animal...those teeth were not designed to endure rubber...can you dig it, Brother?
Mark Goodwin I’m going to assume the video is solely for views/likes/subscriptions because you don’t tease an animal like that. I’d be pissed to, if someone was poking at me for no reason. Smh.
