hey blake costa rica is on my punch list to visit more so for fishing because a roosterfish is on my bucketlist but i was curious with that low tide do they have any type of clams there ????cuz back home here in the northeast we dig for quahogs,softshell clams and razor clams in our lowtide sandbars.
Although they are refereed to "New World pigs" based on there morphology, Peccarys are pig kin but not pigs, Peccarys are in the family (Tayassuidae), Pigs are in the family (Suidae), both are in the suborder (Suina) = pig kin. Basically calling a Peccary a pig is like calling a Red fox a wolf.

Costa Rica has its problem but I think the reason the country is so "Stable and well off" is because of the way the country handles itself. Costa Rica abolished its military which prevented any military overthrow of the government and any type of dictatorship and used that money to invests in its education, Healthcare and its conservation which helps the country out heavily.
