For one that tall, I would bend conduit and build a frame that way. That way it would be more stable.

You would only need a larger frame! You could use the 5 inch balloons or underinflated 11 inch balloons. I like the smaller balloons because they go around the corners nicer! But it’s completely up to you!

I would build them on 1/2 inch conduit for that high! 🎈

I would make a 1/2 inch conduit fram and get a conduit bender for that height!

@@meganrichardson9938 you probably could get creative and duct tape 2 hula hoops together! I would form a giant figure 8 with the aluminum rod. You also could use a conduit bender and conduit if done carefully. Also you could use a stronger brake line for cars (which I have done. One continuous rod would be stronger than two separate rods though

Yes you just bend the wire into a V shape! Just make the bottom of the V stick down an extra 2 feet and bring it back up… You will want to flatten the bottom so it fits down inside of the conduit pipe.

It stands around 4 and a half ft tall... just the number and 5 and a half ft when it’s in the ground on the short base pole

Sorry I am just seeing this! I would draw it out first on cardboard and then bend the rod on top of the drawn pattern.

You would need to make 2 separate numbers. You can sketch them out on cardboard and use it as a pattern.

You can even use 1/2 inch conduit and a conduit pie bender. You can use Gorilla tape to hold the loops together. Also hula hoops would work for smaller ones. Look at the connectors for the metal conduit in Lowe’s or Home Depot. They have small pipe cutters as well. I mark mine with a sharpie marker so I know where to bend them. You can also use the metal rods I show in this video to make an 8. I would secure the left and right sides with extra pieces of wire so it doesn’t flip down after you tape it though. I made the big hoops in the Pride parade with the same metal rods in this video. You can cut them with a small pipe cutter.

When I said you could reinforce the center of the number 8……. I mean add 2 separate pieces… like make 2 small “V”s and turn them sideways and use gorilla tape and double them over your other rods that form the 8. That way it will reinforce the center so it doesn’t fold down.

Give yourself enough time to play around and practice! Don’t be afraid to try it! Put some good music on and just do it! It will turn out fine! 💕

@@patrieceminner6150 maybe under inflated 9 inch ones? I haven’t tried with larger balloons. The 5 inch smaller ones create more definition for letters.
