I added a GIANT CATFISH to my indoor Pool Pond... and it was a BAD IDEA!
I decided to trade a bunch of my used aquariums to a local reptile breeder in exchange for a giant catfish to go in the pool pond with my Red Tail/Tiger Shovelnose Hybrid catfish... and he was NOT happy about it. Hope you enjoyed story time!

Sorry to hear about your fish, kinda going through the same with my fish, my Suwanee bass has all of sudden after living together for months started to bully my redbreast sunfish to the point he just hides in the corner. Think it is best that I'm just going to release him into my pond.

When I was watching them together initially, I thought they were going to be just fine together. But when editing this video, I realized the same thing! He was testing the Achara a bit. Nudging him and getting a feel for him.

hi brother love the channel I have a question I have recently put my 12in red tail catfish in 50 gallon indoor pond I have great Filtration an water movement an its heated my question is what should his from his behavior in the new pond like will he not eat for a few days or just not act like him self ?

The video is very good and. Beautiful fishes and large fishes but i have a problem with my fish that is my small koi carp about 5 or 6 inches long is always sitting in downwards and when I'm giving food its not eating can anybody say a reason

I thought Chunk looked like he wanted to open a can of whoop as on that new fish from the second he saw him. He was pressing up on it like an old inmate on a freshly incarcerated jay walker. I was waiting for Chunk to tell "new meat" to grab a hold of the lining of his pocket, put on lipstick, tie his shirt up into a bow in the front and then parade him around the cell block.

Hey Zack Another fish that was almost marshmallows. lol Those hi-breeds are just beasts.I knew he was going to be a problem, he was just sizing up the other fish. Luckily you got the fish out just in time.He s a gangster and now you know his M O. A decision needs to be made if you will keep him or re home him. I'll definitely keep this fish for as long as I can! He wasn't aggressive at all when I had the Oscar in there with him! So it's just going to be trial and error to find what works and what doesn't!

Those Nosey Bee Chameleons are the best! Yeah man, cat fish in general are some nasty fish. I can't say I'm surprised. You were at least able to save him. I saw that there were little fish in the tank with "Chunk." I am assuming that has something to do with that. But nice job, Man!

I've never really seen those specific Chameleon before!! They're beautiful! Ry is going to breed those too he was saying! Those were little minnows and shiners in the pond! I thought maybe Chunk would eat them or be distracted.... He has been neither! 😂

Bigger fish of that size usually stay away from fish that small as they may be more annoying to try to grab. It's good for the contrast and aesthetics. Also, the Nosey Bee? It's a Panther Chameleon. Look them up. They never change colors usually but there are different variety and colors. Like the Sambava, you might like that one!

You can try to feed chunk a lot so when you put him in he want try to attack as much and some stress coat maybe try not to feed live anymore

Feeding him is the right call! He hasn't shown much interest in the tilapia filets I put in there just yet though. And all those little shiners swimming around the tank I was actually hoping to use as dithers! He hasn't touched those either

SC Fish Keeping well is there is anything that I have learned in keeping amazon exotic fish you can also turn up the temperature to 82 degrees this is the safest temp for them and they will also grow much quicker

I have 17 as of this weekend. Silver and black huh. Don't think I've ever heard you reference any other 2 color combo before like, I dunno vomit orange and meh blue.

Generally those 2 should have been fine to keep together. So it's at no fault of your own for what happened. At least you know now about what he will do so it saves you from future losses!

I've thought about doing hides! PVC would work great... It's just CRAZY expensive for the big, heavy pieces in that size!

These stock tank ponds are fantastic Shelly! Tractor Supply sells them in all sizes too! I'm thinking about setting up a small one for a turtle pond or something!

I use the cheap stuff! 😂 Clamp lights from the hardware store with LED bulbs or brands like Nicrew or Hygger you can find on Amazon. A lot of my tanks I actually run the light front to back so I don't have to buy a bigger sized light running side to side! 😂

Your cheapest bet would be the lighting diffuser crate you can find at Lowe's or Home Depot! You buy a big sheet of it, cut it to size and it'll fit around whatever filter or cords you have in there. They're easy to weigh down too if you have jumpy fish. Only downfall is you will get more evaporation.

@@SCFishKeeping yea I got an arowana in there and he's jumpy and the water evaporates pretty quickly I saw greenhouse tops or something like that also work well u have any experience with those?

Yes! I use those as well. They're a good choice, but they're flexible. I lost a big 15" Silver Arowana because it's harder to weigh them down
