Rob, I heard every one around the table say how good the food was, but the best testament came from your dad. He never said the first word because he was too busy practicing his magic act making his food disappear! I heard him the loudest of all. All you had to do was watch. I loved every second of his testament. Great video. Keep it up and thanks for sharing your family with us. God Bless
Rob And he should be a proud dad If you are 1/2 of the person you portray Hope to meet you some day and see You can catch and cook and everything I'll be waiting at the table drooling
I believe that the only reason some people "thumbs down" is because they're jealous! I'm SO happy for you and your family being able to live such an amazing life!! God bless you and I wish you all the joy and happiness life has to offer. Thanks for sharing your blessings with us all ❤️
I love how your dad asked the captain a few questions and then got busy and you didn't say nothing he knows hows to fish, blessed time fishing with dad . My dad has been in heaven for 20yrs now. God bless be the family man Rob not always easy but totally worth it. Much respect .
Thank you for sharing your life, as a husband, father, educator, outdoorsman. I started watching you, then my kids one by one started watching with me. Now is a nightly dad time to sit and watch a few videos, or even watch a video twice. My children love it and are now more excited to go and see what different fish they can catch, animals they can see. Nothing more gratifying than watching your children grow and learn new things each day. Thank you again
Good steel+sharpening correctly+doing it over and over and over, ain't that hard lol. Just can't use cheap low grade steels and expect them to get very sharp.
It always amazes me how awesome your mama and poppa are how awesome your family life is!!! May God bless and keep you and your's in all good things. Thank you and Sarah for sharing your lives with us.
Glad you, & your Dad are doing great fishing! Your supper looked great, glad the family is having a great vacation!! Thank you John for filming, and catching the big crabs! Love you guy's, God Bless you all !
15:23 I love how your mom is behind you watching and listening... I imagine when she watches your videos it's very different from when all of us.... It's like home videos and memories forever!!!! Imagine if you could look back in 20-30 years and relive all the memories it's really cool
Hell, I’m Chinese and I want to have a loving family like yours. Your video teaches more about family, love and great times than actual catch clean or cook! Much to learn.. love the vids
Rob, you inspire people to Be creative with life, to live like God created us, and to spark tradition. And with that in mind, I am raising 3 beautiful children and making every second count because we never know when it’ll be too late.
I bought a second hand boat from a guy in Lauderdale that was a battle buddy during operation Iraqi freedom last year and every weekend we go out on our weekend getaways and try to make as many memories as possible. You may have seen some of the photos in messenger that I posted. I hope to one day meet you in person and be able to sit and pick your mind for wisdom. You are truly an awesome guy. Keep on doing God’s work brother.
That was literally the best RU-vid video I have ever watched! You pointed out that it gets boring fishing the same way after a while. Same goes for watching. The variety was AWESOME and made the entire video interesting. Ceep up the good work and God Bless!
No they dont pray and for sure not openly, but when i seen him & his wife pray that was the first thing that sold me on this channel. This channel is a reflection of what Family should be, and it also shows that even in the times we live in with so much hate God shows up & shines bright...love this channel .....
I spent 15 of my 20 years in the Navy on Whidbey Island. It was really awesome to see the video begin as you were driving across Deception Pass. In the summer of 1984 I was on vacation with my family in Washington State when I discovered there was a Naval Air Station there. I had joined the Navy's Delayed Entry Program in May and was waiting for an opening for Aircraft Electrician "A" School. When we passed by the air station I told my family this is were I want to be stationed. It was so beautiful and I just had to be stationed there. I got called in September and was off to boot camp in October. When it came time to pick orders after graduating "A" school they wrote duty stations on the board, there were 6 of us and there were 3 East and 3 West coast orders available. We got to pick in order of our final grade and I was number 3. The first 3 picked the West coast and luckily no one had even heard of Whidbey Island so I got my dream orders. I enjoyed my time in Washington but when it came time to retire I returned home to Arkansas to be home with my Mom. When I left in '84 I told her I would be home in four years, I was kinda late but she's glad I'm home and she's still going strong at 83.
It pains me to see you throw the salmon skeleton in the trash. Salmon soup is so good. (Use the skeletons to make broth!!) No hate though, love the vids, keep up the good work!
We fry up the fins and bones in extra virgin olive oil with a sprinkle of kosher salt. Same with the skin, kind of like a fishy potato chip. We also scrap the back bone and use the meat for burgers. Head for crab bait, but will try making a broth from it next, thanks for the suggestion. Love the vids too Robert, keep doing what you are doing.
I love deer meat for dinner I watch it every day me and my family love and my kids love it so he has inspired me to make my own Channel that I will start tomorrow about home cooked meals!!
you are such a nice human being i'm a new subscriber i have watched almost all your old videos now i'm getting the new one every day thanks a lot keep it up...
Im not religious, but this is true. Families who are religious are far more likely to stay together and are happier. I haven't quite figured out what it is, but there is something to it.
I love your channel brother. I've been going to Fairbanks Alaska since I was 8 hunting. With my dad and mom.and loved it..I still go to this day and plan to move there in few years. Thanks for being so genuine Robert and Sarah & little girls and doggies.
Ropate’ Thank You for bringing your Dad & I along on this fabulous journey a trip we won’t be forgetting. We enjoyed every minute of everything. We’re so Proud of how you work tirelessly before, during & after you’ve gathered your specific footage for what ever video you’re doing to edit, capture wording, like when the Jet came ripping through your airspace & your comment of “My Friends, that is the sound of FREEDOM!” Your technique of editing is A God given talent! I’m so Proud of the way you’re able to gather that “1” person or a group & bring them along with you , Amazing! I love you ❤️Mom
Robert, Have you thought about doing a video about the RED TIDE that is devastating the gulf waters in SWF this year? It is a very serious issue and is killing fish by the hundreds of thousands, sea turtles, manatess, goliaths, tarpon, etc. Not sure how aware you are about this issue as you live on the east coast. Having earned 1M subscribers (Congratulations!), if you did a video about this issue, it could really open up peoples' eyes about how serious this thing is and what it's doing to our environment and effecting local businesses, beaches, etc. Love your videos, I watch them all. Keep up the awesome content, and congrats again on 1M!
You are correct. The wave of the wing is like a wave of the hand, which means someone on the boat probably waved at the pilot first. Pretty cool stuff!
Do you normally keep the scales on the fish as I normally descale it first. I’ve noticed some people like it as others don’t. Great Vancouver top by the way!
Corrine Warren yes ma'am it can be. they also offer a variety gift set that is very reasonably priced just google everglades seasoning. promise you wont be disappointed! 👍❤
I remember every Christmas on the farm. 20 plus people at this huge table. All us kids at another table. Hectic. But worth every minute of it. Really miss those days.
Hey DMFD, moreover Rob and crew, thank you sincerely for all the content. I have learned and applied so much from watching your channel. It has vastly improved all of my adventures. Keep up the good work! And hey, God Bless.
I'm my neck of the woods, I like fishing off those rocks where you caught the kelp greenling they get pretty big and theres small sharks, rockfish Cabazon Ling cod and also salmon. Great crabbing too, and loud jets from the base near by. You're a great inspiration to stay positive even when life is hardest for me at the moment.
This was just awesome as usual Robert! Thank you so much for sharing your family's outings and experiences, it makes me feel at home and reminds me of when I was a kid and we had fish fries down at the beach in Jacksonville! God-bless my friend!
Finally salmon! I can never wrap my mind around the salmon fishing in the Pacific. It's how they did it in the 80's in lake Michigan, but so many advancements have been made in the past 30 years
Congratulations on 1 million i have been here since 100,000 yall have been such a amazing role model for me and thankyou for all that you do for people
I was stationed on Whidbey from 02-05. My kids were raised on greenling, surf perch, salmon, and d crab. Love the EA-18 flyby. We had EA-6bs when I was there. We also called it "the sound of freedom". Hope you guys had a great time in my old stomping grounds. Btw, the big rock on the farthest east side of north beach is greenling heaven. We used to haul 5 gallon buckets full of greenling and surf perch out of there.
dayuuuuuum rob and sarah, 1 million subs???? CONGRATULATIONS! i remember when ya'll was only at 37k. ya'll all grown up now, i'm so proud i could cry!!! keep going homies!!! ya'll gonna make it big time and get a really big mansion one day and i CANNOT WAIT for that glorious day to arrive!
Puget Sound is beautiful. I visited a cousin back in 1994. They lived in Bremerton, WA. Went to Seattle to the market. That was fantastic. Had fresh crab and salmon cooked on their grill. YUM.
I get to hear the sound of freedom everyday. Being an air force aircraft maintainer gets tiring but when I hear and watch the jets here at my base take off, I am very proud to have my job and serve my country.
What a great video, packed with fun, family, and food. As I have mentioned before, I grew up in and around the Keys, Miami, Port St Lucie, Okeechobee, and have traveled several Countries and most half the U.S during the past 30years. I remember being there just a few years ago for 3 1/2 years and agree - you just can't beat the clean tasting freshness of a Wild PNW Salmon and their Dungeness crab. Rob you surely had a great trip and did really really really good job in preparing these meals during your stay. I traveled between mid 2012 to end of 2015 and I stayed and experienced each place in Blaine, Bellingham, Anacortes, Mt Vernon, Skagit River(bridge collapsed 2013) , Oso (2014 mudslide), all around Seattle and especially the Pike Place Market, Leavenworth (Authentic Bavarian/German town) Olympia, Mt Rainier horseback trails, Cannon Beach and Portland. ALL of that NW Region of the U.S. is such a refreshing, clean, and beautiful place to experience. We have both grown up in the same areas and traveled the same places quite often - it's surprising we haven't crossed paths YET :-) My family is just a few miles down the road from your Parents and I sent several customers to them during the FPL Powerplant working on the pipeline last year. Keep up the great work brother. Blessings continue over you, family, and friends.
I'm from Ohio and I love going fishing but we don't have lakes like you or an ocean, and that's how I wanna go fishing someday! How you live is how everyone should live! Everything you do looks so much fun!
Im not even a fisherman or hunter i like watching it just like any other topic but this is one of my favourite channels on youtube. Way to be @deermeatfordinner
un f ing believable possibly one of the most delicious meals I have ever seen, and the house on the water is sooo magnificent thank you sir for another joyous Vid
As soon as I saw that Dungeness crab, and kelp green ling, I knew you had to be on the west coast. I live in California on the Mendocino coast, I catch those all the time . Very cool to see you on the west coast.
