Gorilla glue instead of Roscos FoamCoat, DAAAaaammm! I have said it before, I thought I was the king of hardware store alternates to PRO special effects products but you sir are the Emperor!
@@StiltbeastStudios I agree with J C you are the master. I've never thought to use gorilla glue that way! Your MacGyver skills in making stuff is mind blowing, I've learned a lot from you. Thank you.
I've also tried hot glue on eva foam but it just doesn't want to hold parts together. Once I tried contact cement, I've never looked back! Those 10 minutes waiting for it to dry is definitely worth saving the hours you might spend wrestling with hot glue! Thanks for another great video!
I'm watching these not sure if I've got butterflies from so much renewed enthusiasm for my passion, or (and) a touch of nausea at how close I've been to the answers I was seeking in my artistic evolutions with materials. As you sculpt one after another of my project ideas. I too teach what I learn, as art is what seperates us from the animals, sooths us, and brings people together. I encourage sharing, as we all have our own style. I'm a puppet maker, but use them in videos as well. I burned out and had hit a wall 4 years thick. Only recently could I look, learn build again. You turned my flame back into a raging Inferno By answering question after question with visual and audio Your humble, too I hope you have much success ~Beth in SC
Thank you so much for your creative and inspiring content! I'm a second year haunted forest owner and I have spun so many great ideas and builds off of your creations. And you are an awesome artist! I will be donating!!
Another amazing video!!! I like how your projects start out with basically nothing and slowly transform into such cool and amazing props... I know it's skill, but it looks like magic 😁 And BTW, I think Rue is working out great in your videos, he's almost fully trained LOL 😜
Love this. I have not worked with the eva foam yet, but I do enjoy working with the locktite foam. This maybe in my future projects. Thank you for putting out awesome video tutorials.
I am so happy that I found your channel. The great props you make in your videos are awesome. Cost effective and creative. I have used many of your techniques in my own diy's. I usually watch you on my big screen tv,,so I can actually get some of my own projects done. No keypad to make comments. I wanted you to know how much I appreciate your videos and advice. So I put on glasses and used my phone to comment. Your a great inspiration for me. So now I am going to; Go Make 🧐 Stuff!!! Thanks for all the time you spend videoing for us. YOU ROCK!!!
I made this thanks to you. Would not have been possible without following your pattern. Only a true great artist can take a vision and make it tangible. You Sir are truly a great artist.
Such a brilliant idea. I made a smaller similar skull from cardboard but I love the idea of using this type of foam. Thank you for sharing your always creative ideas!
You are a magician man. You're eva foam work baffles me...perhaps because I've never tried building with it. I need eva foam building lessons for dummies. Anyway, I really love this! Great technique with the gorilla glue too. I think you could make some good looking tree bark with this method. At one point the skull reminded me of Groot a little. Lots of foam in this project. Please do more if possible. I would love a DVD with your teachings on basic to advanced techniques with eva foam. I have a difficult time with patterns and such. As always, Thank you! 🤘💀
WOW! That was very cool to watch. I’ve use gorilla glue in the past and I remember it foaming up but I didn’t ever think about it to use on anything for texture. Learn something new every day. 😎👍🏻👍🏻❤️
Definitely going to try this one! Patreon buddy here. I happily contribute. It’s tuition, cyber apprentice to a master. Everyone should compensate you for sharing your mad skills and thrifty approach to making stuff.
Jeeeesus that turned out fantastic.... When I saw the initial thumbnail I thought to myself, OMG if he sells this as a mask. He is going to have to include chiropractic care as well cuz that thing just looked heavy as hell... Massively wonderful outcome though.. Amazing... Obviously putting it on the top of a totem pole makes more sense now..lol
That is absolutely awesome. If only us mere mortals had your skills to be able to actually create something that was even reasonably close to this likeness/quality. Excellent job. I love your channel 👍
@@StiltbeastStudios You sir are a god. I have been watching your uploads for years. I still haven't made anything that is even close to resembling your works of art. But you do inspire me and just watching your videos is enough to make my day. Best wishes 👍
I've known a few brave men in my life, but I've never known anyone who was willing to slather gorilla glue all over the place without wearing gloves. You sir, have balls the size of dump trucks.
Ommmmmmy lanta …. Seriously I’m new to your channel and I love the work you do!! Can you tell me a littlw bit about these amazing things you are building…. And why! Is this your full time job!? Do you do this for fun …. I truly hope to goodness you get paid for all that do!!!!! I’m blown away!!!
You should do a build that someone else in another location is also crafting at the same time. Just a "regular" person. Then you will see just how talented you really are. "Look at the source material and it will tell you how to paint it." U huh. I would have brown, cream and white blobs glued to the table and my shirttail. You made a giant deer skull from FLOOR MATS. You are inspiring. I wanna go make stuff!
I love that you talk through some of the thought process. My bachelors degree is in visual arts, but I find the further I’m removed from that environment (20 years now!), the more afraid I am to fail. Very sad.
failure does not exist. there are things that happen and their long term ramifications and miniscule. did you learn? will the next thing or moment be better? then Id call that a success. and thank you for watching. there are haunts out here that would love to put that degree to use....just sayin
Just found this site.. wow amazing. I want to make it all, decorating started out with something I did with all the kids in my neighborhood and my foster kids, and now its just something to make kids happy to see. wish you sold some of this. would love to have it.
You NEED TO GO LIVE AGAIN, VERY SOON 😎 Ya know, as an Artist my self... I have never worked much with foams boards. I have been watching you make such amazing things, with foam boards! I might try my skills using this too! As for Lock-Tight.... I LOVE THAT STUFF! It’s one of my favorite canned liquids, other than paint. 😉😎 Hot glue, has it purposes, but it’s not really good with foam.... 🤷🏻♀️
I also found that I could get Shoe repair glue tubes from my general store/ super market whenever I couldn't take a trip to the hardware store or wait for online delivery. Shoe glue that Sticks: Rubber, Leather, Canvas, Cork, Eva Foam and Most Plastics.
I would love to see how you made the totem pole. I didn't know that canned spray foam can do all that. Who would have ever thunk it! Thank you for another neato how to!
@@StiltbeastStudios o jave heard about this monster mud, i believe from some of your videos. I. Gonna look into it alittle deeper. I want to try and make ol Chief Woodenhead as close as i can to the Creepshow original. Boss, do you give classes on you techniques? Man im hooked on the wall with all this Good stuff, you bring to life. Thank you so much, Hauntcho, for sharing your know how so generously. 👍👍👍
Wow epic epic epic I don't think that's a deer skull to me it looks like it but its more on the mythical mystical legendary side of it the skull really reminds me of the well known Wendigo its very well done and is ever so realistic and right to the skull of it an epic art masterpiece this is very professional like and would be a geat addition to a mythical horror film
This tutorial helped me win first place in my local costume contest. I also found out i got to yell at you when you came to my haunt 13th hour in indy? Hope you all did your homework this time.
@StiltbeastStudios Great show. Very informative. You do awesome work. *Any suggestions for a hot glue gun that puts out a good amount of glue (fast) but not too expensive* Thank you, -Cheers
"You know, when both the sides are the same, whatever that word is" 🤣 Incidentally I have a question. Is contact cement the same stuff cobblers use to glue soles on before they stitch? I've watched a few cobbler channels and the paint on then leave to dry and stick together process seems to be the same?
At this point, Im not even sure what it was. Part of being me is battling new ideas while i am trying to finish executing a preveious idea....if only they were all good.
For a smaller scale deer/four legged animal body, would you frame it with PVC and chicken wire? Do you have another video where you made the animal body?
nothing will go on with all those qualities. fiberglass can be painted on, but will need sanding, ezflow resin can be painted non but will need sanding and has a short working time. linex truck bedliner is a great hardener but needs to be sprayed on. I guess epoxy resin is your best bet- like WEST fast 205 hardener and resin.
@@StiltbeastStudios Thank you for taking your precious time to reply. I am limited in my resources and working area and may have to modify my goals. It may be quite a while before I update you. However, I will update you. You are a true teacher.
@@StiltbeastStudios Omg I cannot stop watching this! You ARE an awesome artist! Thank you for sharing. How long did you wait for the foam horns to dry b4 draping it over the chair?
Awsome work ! I"ve be a haunter for 23 yr and decorated for Halloween every year for the last 27 yrs now ! Is there a video for how you made the horse skull ? And here an how would you make a real good Anbuis jackal head mask ? that the eye would light up ? I've look on line there small and over priced, and dont fit for the size for a stilwalker My plan for a while was to make and use and Anbuis stilt walker outfit for a haunted or just to wonder around on Halloween with our son when he's trick n treat. Our oldest works at Spookyworld in NH for Oct , he's carrying on the haunter ways now ! Thank for all the great video and idea to use keep them coming!
