Kayaking has been my favorite way to catfish for years now. I love the mobility and the exciting tipping feeling you get when a fish hits. Unfortunately, the tipping went too far on this outing, and I ended up dripping wet! I can think of no better way to quickly ruin a good catfishing trip than by rolling your kayak and losing your phone to boot! Fortunately, I had my life vest on and the only injury I suffered was to my pride. At least I was able to land my best catfish of the year which was also my first flathead of the year and one of my top two biggest catfish ever. Landing that giant catfish definitely helped soften the blow of an otherwise extremely humbling mistake.
