Giant Gee Bee R2 - 7 Cyl. Radial 

This plane doesn't require any gyros, so what are you talking about? I've flown plenty of GeeBees and all of them fly as easy as any other plane. The size of the fuse vs wing illusion as well as a bunch of myths about this being a bad design due to bad practices and poor craftsmanship in the 1930's. Delmar Benjamin fly a Z model and his R2 to great success in real life and disproved all the BS about this plane being a widow maker.

@@brianemery8945 I mean, I am not against them. They are fantastic little devices, but the Gee Bee doesn't need one is all I am saying. The gee bee's largest enemy is dropping to much speed on landings and flame outs. They do like their tip stalls unless there is a bit of washout built in. Anyhow, Speaking of stabilizers. I am always perplexed at those big $$$ turbine rigs that somehow 90% of the pilots don't grasp the concept of using a steering/rudder gyro setup. I think it's absurd watching those jets roll all over the runway, off into the grass half the time, and weave around on landings wing tip striking or ground looping because the dopes didn't utilize a $100 device that could have managed all of it. Nope... They'd rather tear up their models and look like rookies with high dollar toys their daddy bought them. Shame
