Last weekend Jlo & I made a trip out to the oil platforms, 25 miles off the North Coast of Trinidad and Tobago in search of big fish from the deep.
We dropped a line down to the bottom, 500ft below the surface and within a few minutes Jlo hooked into a fish of a lifetime.
After an intense 15 minute battle, Captain Dillon managed to bring the fish to the surface. When we finally saw it, we were blown away at the actual size of it. Take a look at the video and experience what it is like being on board, during the battle with a monster!
To Note: We do not specifically target grouper, our target is Snapper and Almaco Jacks. If we do hook into a grouper, they never survive the pull up to the surface, as such they cannot be released. However, they are great eating and nothing ever goes to waste.
