How about using NERF for a chess or checkers tournament? For chess, for every check, the person checking the opponent's king gets to blast the other player and for every capture, the person capturing will shoot a target for an extra point. For checkers, for every "king", the person getting the king will blast the other person and for every capture, the person capturing will shoot a target for an extra point. The player or team with the most points wins.
