The beaver can land in the Rocky Mountains. One tough bird. I’m liking the v1 for the 85 amp esc. Not sure why the took power capabilities away. Still a great v2

Excellent Review Stuart, especially the 4S-Aspect. That was the final kick to get one of the last available V2 Beavers here in the Cologne region. Great flying and very realistic behaviour in the air. As you said (4S): "Remember guys, it´s a Beaver … " - Thanks and best Wishes :-)

Nice one Stuart, that's my next purchase, going straight onto floats for me. I had a V1 and rebuilt a V1 from 2 busted up airframes, which I flew on floats last month. Best float plane ever!! No need for a gyro on this beast.

Well presented as usual Stew. I have just ordered the FMS Avanti V3 with reflex Gyro as I have the Viper with SAFE & it should operate the same. There seems to be no video on the Reflex system itself and many, I am sure would be looking for this as it is the best keep secret from FMS with minor detail. It would be a great video to make for youtube! Many thanks once again & greetings from Australia (I have subscribed)
Really enjoyed the video , awesome plane and some nice flying. Also interesting perspective with the 4s.. Looks like nowadays everyone wants to go with 6S or higher.. but you showed that it is not always necessary .. and I think the larger prop looks more sexy .. especially when its a wooden prop. I really liked the previous B & W scheme, but it would have never survived a Tucson, Arizona summer! The clear windows are a bonus...I'm buying this one for sure! She IS a pussycat! Nice Flying Stuart, and nice camerawork Tom, but you need someone else to film, so you can fly too!
Great Video - with good coverage of the plane. Looking to get one of these, so curious what mixes you are using for the flaps. Also on the turns are you using any rudder mix and if so how much ?

I will also propose the same question to you that I proposed to Pilot Robert and Capt Blaz - Which plane would you recommend as the ultimate bush plane, this Beaver or the Avios Gran Tundra? Or is there another better bush plane than either of these that I don't know about?
@@mikeorland3505 hi, Purely because the U/C is sprung and not stiff, the GT. The solid Beaver U/C is super tough, but stiff, so you will always bounce it until you really grease it in. With the GT, there is no bounce, even on hard landings, its exactly how I designed it to be ;)
Hi Stuart...great vieo. One quick question. Is there any way to adjust the gain in the reflex via a knob on the radio? im on jeti DC24 and have the beaver setup with flight modes. looking forward to catching up at weston.

I notice the gyro prog port is 4 pin...is this where the jumper mentioned in the manual goes? BTW no jumper included so if i make one which pins do i bridge ( jump ) out?
I understand the model with the gyro is unavailable in the U.S. Is there an after-market option I can purchase that will give me the three modes you speak of? What is the Brand name or part number? Thank you. S.
