GIANT SHELLCRACKER Catch Clean & Cook (WADE FISHING) 

I fished with bettle spins my whole life one time me and my brother and my mom and cousin caught 120 crappie on bettle spins

GOOD.. GOOD..GOOD..

Took my grandpa to a “illegal” (fenced) rock query and he caught 27 bluegills (4 pounders, really 1 & 1/2 pounders, don’t tell blue Gabe those were really 3/4-1&1/2 pounders). Hadn’t seen grandpa laugh and smile so much in years, he passed away 2 months later. But that’s the day of how I will always remember him!!!

Here’s my coolest memory. I would always fish with my papa and my great uncle buck. If we ever went a couple cast without a catch, Uncle Buck would spit on his beetle spin. It always worked. Well one time it didn’t and papa says, “You don’t know how to do it”. He’s pours a little Natural Light on his beetle spin and catches a fish the moment it hit the water. I’ll never forget papa slapping his knee and laughing when he caught that fish.

I miss Florida.... about to come back soon. Im out of Everglades.

Shell Cracking Fun Time!

When I was kid, I remember my Grandma and my father sitting on a creek edge in NY... we sat there and caught slab Crappie for about an hour... it was probably my best fishing experience as a child. At that time, we were fishing for a family Fish Fry... we had so much fun!

Took a vacation with my great grandparents visiting my Dad's cousin in Green Cove Springs Florida. Spent one day fishing on the st. Johns River. Eight of us caught a number 2 Wash Tub full of bluegills with a few shell crackers and redfish mixed in. That was about 65 years ago.

I’ve never had fried corn but I’ve had it popped. Amazing!

Fav trip...1967..canyon lake tx., shortly after it's impoundment. Tied up to the limb of a huge live oak (whole bunch of flooded oaks) Drop a worm, catch a bluegill...but only if you dropped the worm in about a 5 sq. ft. area right next to the boat and tree. 3 of us....probably 200 nice gills....kept about 60.

I grew up using and still use to this day, a marabou crappy jig. I live in upstate NY and have been fishing lake ontario all my life. great video as always!!! Btw...my rig is an ultralite uglystik rod and a pfleugar president reel and I love them...they work amazing.

I used Beetle Spin all the time. Virgil Ward endorsed them in all sizes but the one you are using is one I used for bluegill and smaller bass.

My grandparents always took us to the “fishing hole” on the creek of their farm. There was a rock we could swim to and fish off of. We’d tear them up. When we needed bait we’d cast to the bank and grandma would rebait with a fresh grasshopper. Fun times. I miss my grandparents dearly!

Grew up fishing in a rather small river between the foothills of the Carpathians. Using simple fixed rods, but also with my bare hands (that's not so hard to do in shallow rivers). Mostly some native species that barely reach half a pound fully grown, but are very tasty pan fried with a touch of salt in a corn flour crust. Now more than 30 years later I still enjoy eating those tiny fish more than most other species, the only thing I'd rate better is the Danube catfish (which is monstrous in size compared to the American varieties, if you ever get to the Danube Delta that's what you must fish for, it will give you a fight to remember).

My gmaw would always have dough in the fridge for me to fish off the dock in dunnellon and I would cane pole fish for hours.

Shell Cracker is a really good fish... Especially when it's deep fried.. EVERGLADES SEASONING IS AN ABSOLUTEL MUST!!!

My Dad and I went up to central Michigan at our family cabin and went fishing and caught about 30 keepers Bluegill and Shellcrackers and some bass!! Though I was only like 10 and my dad didn't trust me yet with the fillet knife just yet. One our best fishing days together!!

First bass I remember catching... Small blarck and orange beetlespin. 2.5lbs???? Was 4-6yrs old. 50 now!!!! Remember reeling it in with moss covering. it...the good ol' days!!!

Shellcracker memory.....Summer 1969....4th of July weekend fishing at Lake Panasoffkee Florida. Ate fried shellcrackers and huspuppies every evening...A great memory even though I was in bootcamp 6 weeks later and missed the Woodstock festival. (Same weekend). I'm 72 now and I'm going to buy some beetle spins.. ..that what worked back in Panasoffkee!! The smaller fish in life can be the most memorable. Cheers, Sawgrass

Was at camp ground once caught some of the biggest bluegill I'd ever seen so I decided to keep some to cook on the fire so I put them on a stringer my friend tried to pull the stringer to leave it was stuck or so he thought it started coming up but was really heavy because there were two huge snapping turtles eating our fish cool moment but disappointing cause there was nothing left to eat
