ive found that ive had the same success sitting in one place then i have hopping around. might as well just stay warm in the shack fish are constantly cruising around that whole south east side by the mouth

The walleye of lake winnipeg are just different..... the dont move in relation to structure. They follow bait schools and move with currents. If your on fish then u need to move..... if u get off them then u move. Once on a school you might get off them.... its the bait moving.... take into account the wind and currents. Then make a move of 100 yards or so. Then keep doing it. Finding a school of big fish is worth the work
Rule # 1 level your ice hole mound, they freeze solid and make it really rough for the next guy driving his sled or truck across the lake with little mine fields of ice mounds all over the place covered by the next snow.
