There is a link to the jigs in the description. OK for bait: live shrimp, hook in the tail, small chunks of ballyhoo, small chunks of bonita or frozen shrimp. Try the oats as well and the technique i used in the video. I use 12# mono for them., clear

@@marathonsportfishing Boynton beach is 30min south of West Palm Beach. We do have an ocean inlet that blows bait in and out with the tides (and we use those tides to time our Wahoo trolls). There are 3 reef-lines running-north south for about 15 miles in both directions. The first reef is in 1mile out from the beach 40--90ft. depth (we avoid this area like the plague when bottom fishing because of snags) . The second reef is 1-1/2 miles out 90-120ft. depth (less rocky) . The third one is not actually a reef, but instead a steep ledge starting at 2 miles and 238ft. and goes deeper (300-400-500ft++ depth) the further you go out. If you will contact me directly, I can provide you a CMOR maps screenshot so you can see the actual bottom. Thank you, in advance. Cell 561-445-zero-five-zero-eight. David.

Might suggest a new way to measure yellow tails. On my boat, they have to be at least 11 inches to qualify as a flag, and 12 inches in order to be a true large grade flag. ( FYI,,, 21:06 We measure them point to point, and of course, that is the measurement of the flag portion of the fish. Point to point on TAIL SPREAD). Those, are truly FLAGS.

I hate to break the news, but your interpretation of tide flow is exactly the opposite of reality. The tide flow reverses direction at the time of minimum low and maximum hi tides - that is the point of zero tide flow. The maximum flow rate occurs at the midpoint between high and low tides. Differential calculus defines this point of zero flow rate as the horizontal slope of the tangent to the curve, which occurs at the highest and lowest point on the curve. Any idiot watching tide flow at any tidal bay inlet can verify this - as the tide flow approaches a change in direction, the flow slows, stops, then reverses.
@marathonsportfishing
@marathonsportfishing День назад
Hey thanks for the info but I am correct. In a progressive wave, the maximum flood and ebb will occur around the times of the high and low tides, with the slack water occurring between the times of high and low tide. If you would like to come down and dive the bridges with me looking for lobster, that will help clear up any misconception of when slack tide occurs.
@r.waynejohnson9968
@r.waynejohnson9968 11 часов назад
@@marathonsportfishing We're not talking about a progressive wave but a tide - the large scale rise and fall of the oceans caused by the sun and moon. I dive and snorkel all the time. I'm also an engineer. The minimum flow - zero - occurs when the flow direction changes - at high and low tides, where the slope of the tangent to the tide elevation curve is horizontal. Maximum flow rate occurs at midpoint between the high and low tides, when the tangent to the curve is at approximately 45 degrees from horizontal. Review your differential calculus.
@r.waynejohnson9968
@r.waynejohnson9968 9 часов назад
@@marathonsportfishing let me explain it with an automobile analogy - when you reverse your auto direction, do you reverse at full speed ?? no - you slow down, stop and start reverse from zero. The tide flow into a bay or inlet works the same, the flow slows down, stops, then reverses course. The maximum flow rate is approximately halfway between low and high tides.
