Luke was literally 2/3 of the way back down the track with the yoke before Trey even picked it up, that's a spicy performance if ever I saw one! Can't wait for Rogue!
I don't bring it up in the comments (only doing it now because of your comment) but everyone seems to have forgotten how close it was despite Mitch's hands getting torn up.
I think what separates Hooper is his athleticism; it’s not just about strength. He is also very articulate when he speaks and so I presume he is an intelligent guy and is using that along with his education to his advantage in training.
@Brandon-qd2lb it's meant to slide. If they put rubber mats or pads to stop it sliding there is the risk of it digging in when you drop it. The yoke weighs 1000 pounds. If that digs in and topples over someone is going to the emergency room. Letting it slide is safer

@@GiantsLiveSTRONGMAN I can carry 1600lb too if it's divided into 10 small pieces. At my last powerlifting meet I deadlifted 1000lb! First lift was 305lb, second 335, third 360. Next time I might do the 505KG.
bothers me tremendously that hooper stepped into the other guys lane before he was done like yea Im sure he was trying to be encouraging but get out of his lane!
Hooper is now going for the record of how many last events in a row he doesn't have to do... Then: Hooper will skip the first event and then win everything else to secure victory. He needs to keep things lively for himself and the audience...
