Can you guys break down the film on the Turpin touchdown? Watching Ojulari get completely stuffed by Michael Gallup for a touchdown has me VERY concerned for the D-line. About the only bright spot on the field for the giants was Micah McFadden making tackles.
Like Nick says, DJ had no chance last night. No chance. Yeah, he didn’t play well and didn’t look like he deserved the huge contract. But with our clear offensive line issues there’s not much we can expect. The good news is if things don’t improve we’ll get a high pick to get a new tackle
One of the worst oline performances I have ever seen. I’m sorry but someone needs to pull Evan Neal aside and let him know he needs to figure it out immediately or he will be benched and will not have a future in the NFL. I did not see a single pass play where evan Neal held his own, he got beat consistently against third stringers. The very first drive Evan Neal gave up immediately on his block and fell to the ground to try and trip the rusher. As soon as I saw that I knew there was going to be problems. Also where was our pass rush? They didn’t get a single sack and only two pressures. Where was 5th pick overall kayvon? Where was all pro dexter Lawrence or lenoard Williams on a contract year? If your trenches suck you can’t win. I’m glad I didn’t jump on the band wagon in the off-season because we heard the same stuff going into second year of joe judge. Maybe our coach is too relaxed but this is genuinely embarrassing lol. The cardinals can beat this team. The giants need to beat the 49ers week 3 to get past tonight and the oline has become an emergency because if Evan Neal and glowinski don’t improve this team is going to lose A LOT of games.
Maybe I am completely wrong, out of bounds wrong, but the numbers 1 and 2 places to build a team are your trench men. To be fair, the Giants has so many spots to fulfill that you need to concentrate on best athletes. However, by default, to firm the foundation by drafting quality linemen. I thought the rookie corners were okay and seem like a plus with natural maturation going forward.
Hate to say it and theres nothing worse then knowing early in a season it's over ... but this season is toast especially if Thomas is out with his hamstring.
Evan Neal is a guard. The Cowboys invest top 10 capital in guards and interior linemen. Even if he's BUST at tackle, move him to guard and draft a tackle.
The voodoo was definitely against us this game. Literally everything went wrong including the weather. But statistics says you throw out the best and worst results to get to the mien and I think (hope) this was an aberration. Obviously adjustments need to be made but need get a bigger sample size on this giants season. Two notes ... 1) Bobby Johnson needs to be catching some of this heat; 2) Daniel Jones needs to be throwing to receivers coming out of their breaks to circumvent a poor oline
Predicting the Giants would build upon last season and be better this season is similar to those who thought the Mets would build on 2022 and be World Series contenders in 2023. A lot of things went the Giants way last season that I thought would somehow even up this season. Daniel Jones may not be the problem but he's not the solution also. He'll play well as long as the team plays well. He can't carry the team even though he's paid like he is.
The Giants have mad so many costly mistakes in the last decade when it comes to drafting in the trenches (Parsons, Flowers, Neal, Ezedou, Peart) that it will take a while just to clean that mess up. And not taking Parsons when he was ours for the taking…well never gonna live that one down.
This is the same problem. No frigging O line. Andrew Thomas, maybe eventually JMS. Glowinski needs the bench as does Neal. Shane Lemieux is 10 times better than Glowinski. I dont know if there's an available tackle out there. We really need Evan Neal to fix this. I'm not ready to give up on the season, yet.
Lemieux sucks. But at least he could attempt to block. I said last year glowinski was horrible and should not be on the team but damn I didn’t think he could be this bad. Dude needs to retire

He surely improved the line over Hernandez but he made rookie mistakes. Last year in preseason he was playing really well when he got injured. This preseason he was our top rated o lineman behind Thomas, yes he was playing against 2nd string guys but so was Glowinski and Neal in the 3rd quarter against Dallas. They looked like they belonged in the European league. Lemieux has always been good against the run and his pass protection is miles better than Glowinski who's a revolving door. I think they are playing Glowinski only because of his contract. Dumb move, dumbest move yet by shoen. Hopefully they wake up after Sunday nights fiasco. And something needs to happen at RT or we're not going far. I'm confident that JMS is going to be a stud. He faced baptism by fire and Thomas was playing hurt. The Giants could and should bounce back from this game. I find it infuriating that starters don't play in preseason. Our starters were not ready and that's on Daboll. So you talk all this garbage but all you've ever seen was a half a rookie season. If we judged players on that we would have released Thomas who has since a bad rookie season become an all pro.
Ngl I defended jones forever and I will when I think he deserves it but he made the line even worse than they were. He put jms in bad spots again and again because he didn’t call the correct protections. Daniel jones was a big problem today. Now, he wasn’t close to the biggest problem. This three guard rotation crap they pulled through camp is on the coaching staff. They’ve had these same guys for over a year. They should have settle in on who should start much earlier in camp and had these guys develop some chemistry. Adjusting to stunts and twists has a better chance of success if players get a feel for who they’re playing next to. By the way Glowinski sucks.
The media and all these podcasters were NYG fanboys. Vegas oddsmakers- professional statisticians- had the over/under at 7.5. Even after all the JS additions. The NYG have lost their last 2 games to Philly and Dallas by about 75 to 6. In the past 30 games with Dallas and Eagles the Giants have won about 3 games! It pains me to write this- but the fanboys need to wake up and smell the coffee

Glowinski needs to get benched. Evan Neal put in a ton of work but still isn’t good. Schoen needed to get at least 1 upgrade at G and a functional veteran swing T BEFORE the season just in case Neal struggled. Regroup and win next week get to 1-1 and don’t let this loss become trauma-based mind control manifesting failure. Breathe bros we got this 💪
Giants have been blown out on national TV way to many times. You can not get blown out on National television and say the narrative has changed on your organization.
First, my opinion of the Barkley fumble is that D Jones threw him into that hit the way he did Waller in that preseason game. Seemed like both were off throws timing wise. Second, Giants are built to be a balanced team and not 1 side of the ball heavy. We cannot carry a game with our d and we cannot block enough with our offense. It's definitely time to panic.
Good QB's don't set up their receivers to get blasted like that. The QB can see the whole field. The receiver doesn't have eyes in the back of his head.
@@juanwilson2313 Last year was a good season. In reality, we won 9 games and beat a Vikings team with a $h!t defense. Jones is an average QB who panics when under pressure. Tagging him was the move. Everybody can pat Schoen on the back all they want. Reality, his draft picks & free agent signings are not contributing as much as they should. The whole 2022 draft class ain't doing $h!t Bro. They need to get it in gear. We can win with DJ but he's not a QB that can carry a team. He needs help. I'm not panicking because I never thought we were contenders. His feet get jittery & he starts dancing in the pocket. He can beat below average & average defenses. Against the Vikes & their trash D, looked great. How has he looked since then. 240 yards, 3 int's, 0 td's in 2 games against real Defenses. Not all his fault obviously. But it is what it is.

I’m watching this at 3:30 am, waking up in cold sweats thinking about Mark Glowinski and Evan Neal putting up as much resistance as a wet paper bag to all of those twists and stunts. Thanks for your video as always, and bless you for breaking down the All 22. One thing I don’t understand is how Bobby Johnson can continue to have a job here. He had 238 days to game plan around these stunts and practice and scheme for it. I get that Dallas has what many consider the best D in the NFL, but the right side looks like a winless JV High School team who’s only goal is to get out of the game alive. They knew the speed of that D front and yet it looks like their game plan for it was drawn in crayon and finger paints. Part of the problem is, Neal has had negative development since he came into the league and seemingly forced to do things “Bobby’s Way” in his first year until it was obviously hampering him. He seemed in a much better headspace and back to a better stance and controlled punch this off-season. But then 5 minutes into the game, there’s Evan on the ground again for the hundredth time. So much of this is coaching and lunging rather than letting him dictate the action. I’m not calling him a bust just yet, but any O Line coach could recognize his Right Guard is the corpse from Weekend at Bernie’s and make a switch immediately to at least get someone to help my guy. Anyways thanks for this rant space and I look forward to Ezeudu and Bredeson at the Guard spots moving forward. ❤
If you're waking up in cold sweats imagine how Daniel Jones feels. And people wanna blame him solely. This loss is on coaching imo. All three phases weren't prepared all the way down to Graham Gano. Bobby Johnson and the spec teams coach should be fired or on notice at the very least.
Even Neal is too big and can't unhinge his hips he has no strength in his legs. This is what happens when you draft a player that NEVER had bad games at the college level. Nothing to learn from no adversity to work through and no steroids to take🤔 because NFL testing is more stringent than college. I still love my Giants. Let's BE GIANT 🤓🤓🤓
Horrible game! I won’t put this all on the OLINE because the whole team didn’t show up. They looked so good during that first drive had mistakes and didn’t even try come back from it.

The cowboys would just slant and twist. But the issue isn’t what they were doing, it was that they wouldn’t shift protection. Daniel jones didn’t change protections and he put people in bad spots blocking. That’s on him. And if the rookie center is the one calling protections then it’s on both the qb and the coach for letting that happen

How do you not hit the panic button? This was one of, if not the worst beating any team has received in NFL history. This absolutely sets the tone for the rest of the season. We are this bad.
Gelling for an oline is important. But you still need good olinemen. And I am sorry, Glowinski, Bredeson, Ezeudu, and Neal are well below subpar. If you cannot pass block, you have no business playing. No one cares if you can run block a little. Too much belief that ANY olinemen can be brought in and just gel and be fine. Everyone on offense was terrible, and Daboll looked unprepared. They looked like they never played in the rain before.
Us fans love patting Schoen on the back. 2 drafts & free agencies & this line is regressing. Is it Johnson, the players he's being asked to coach or both.

Sadly, it turns out 'BeGiant' ain't such a good thing! All the hype since making the playoffs last year got blown up in a few hours. And we're now in year 12 of trying to build a competitive OLine! I've been a Giant fan since the 60's and always will be. But, I guess mostly because of the high expectations, this is right at the top of all the disappointing letdowns I can remember. Another note: I've noticed the new field turf is a little more slick than the old turf which makes sense given the turf ends aren't connected on the new turf. The upside is less ACLs, but the downside is more hammy strains.
I’m so tired of the oline I would be fine with using all 6 of our draft picks on oline just so we don’t have to keep talking about this year in year our. Just sacrifice a draft to fix the oline
