Norv Turner would be fired the very next day. What we saw with the 2019 Browns, the 2000 Redskins were that on steroids.

@Jonathan Dee The One And Only I forgot all about them honestly. You're right that the 2011 Eagles are a better comparison. Still, the overall point remains. Which is that in the NFL, you cannot buy a championship.

@Jonathan Dee The One And Only They signed what one person called the 1992 1st team all pro's but it was 2000 and most of those guys were 10 plus years into the league the youngest was Champ Bailey,Lavar Arrington and chris samuels. Also they still had he draft hall from the ricky williams trade and they did nothing with those picks

Norv turner wasn't the problem, Snyder meddling in the locker room messed up the team. Let's Brian Mitchell go signs Deon sandbag and Bruce Smith who were past their prime!

After this game Snyder told Turner to not leave the stadium because he wanted to meet with him. Turner figured he was about to be fired so he waited around with his family there to be given the ax. But Snyder instead left the stadium and went to dinner with his co-owners, never telling Turner. Turner and his family said eff it and left after waiting for almost 2 hours.

Remember 6 weeks prior, snyder made the ravens pay for parking at FedEx field, had the PA say before the game "ravens fans suck", and blasting music illegally

Norv Turner's final game as Redskins HC. Afterwards he was first after 7 seasons and replaced by Interim HC Terry Robiskie.

I'll never forget watching this game live. When they showed Snyders empty seat, that's when you knew it was coming.

@@KMC5240 As soon as Snyder bout the Redskins, Turner was a dead coach walking. Yes they won the Division his 1st year as owner but he expected more the next year especially trading up for Arrington. Once they started losing, Turner losing was not going to sit with Snyder like it did for Cooke. Never understood why John Kent Cooke didn't put in a competitive bid for his father's team.

Before the 2019 Browns and 2011 Eagles, there were the 2000 Redskins.

The 2000 Redskins were the most egregious of the bunch. They signed at the time arguably the greatest defensive lineman (Bruce Smith) AND the greatest corner (Deion Sanders) ever. They signed Jeff George even though Brad Johnson was coming off of his best season. The signed old man Mark Carrier. They had the 2nd AND 3rd picks in the first round of the draft. They were co-favorites with the defending champion Rams to win the Super Bowl. Their win total was 11.5.

The 2019 Browns underachieved but made up for it the next year. The 2011 Eagles tanked the next year and fired longtime coach Andy Reid (who’s done very well in KC).
