Masterclass by Gib. His work rate is unmatched, got mad heart & his fight IQ at this level is too underrated. People in this scene change their minds on fighters every 5 minutes so I'm happy the whole dumb "he needs to be humbled" talk because he was confident & promoted after months of harassing him to promote got shut down.
@@ocbmega1011 funny you said that thinking I was keyboard warrior. I got nothing against any one of those guys. But In a real fight I’m beating them lol.
Was a mad fight! Gib is a slow starter but boy does he have it in him to dominate his opponent for the rest of the fight! Can’t wait to watch this and see your live reaction and thoughts!
They say slow starter, but really he's just consistent from the start. He fights the same from round 1 to round 5. The only thing that changes is the opponent who usually starts strong but then gets tired. so it looks like gib starts slow and picks it up, but really it's the opponent that starts strong and gets tired while gib stays consistent
@@codyjohnson6427I actually slightly disagree with this. If Gib stayed the same all 5 rounds, then he would be a bad fighter, which he’s not. Gib doesn’t do anything he doesn’t need to do those first couple rounds, and paces himself slow to learn the opponent. He learned from what happened when he started too hot against Mcbroom the first time. Imo he likes to stay careful and feels his opponent out before he turns up the pressure, once he sees what will work, he turns up fast, and snowballs hard.
@@itsprecept I can see that. He does use the first couple rounds to guage his distance and his opponent, but he also has just as much pressure from the start
They’re not his friends. Been doubting him since day 1. Never once made a good comment about his performance or go out to see him live the way they do with others. Bunch of snakes
The head control/ framing from Gib is high level shit he knew Jarvis was gonna bend the waist and use too much upperbody movement he’s able to pin, blind, occupy the empty space between them, measure the distance to go in n out, on the inside he used it as a wedge to create space to throw that rear hand, and line up his rear hand straight by using that 1 technique masterclass!
One thing gib still needs to work on is his footwork and balance if he does that then he’ll be a more complete fighter, he still moves awkwardly in the ring but hey it’s been working so far just needs to clean it up a bit
to say jarvis has had half the time boxing compared to gib, you gotta give jarvis some big props for this fight. jarvis got a big heart to carry on. give him another year or 2 and he might be close to the upper level of influencer boxing
this was definetely a very good job by gib but i just can’t help but show respect for jarvis because he’s transformed into a damn good fighter and put up a scrap against gib while being so young and only 2 years into his boxing career
People are talking about Gib's stamina but that's not what won him the fight, he won being making Jarvis tired with the never ending body shots. Not only does Gib have great stamina but it's almost as if he has "life steal" because every punch he deals also damages his opponents stamina thanks to the body shots
I really don't think jarvus should have won any round, hes gotten better but everyone was hyping him too much and Gib clear had the experience to figure jarvis out quick. Maybe 1st round max to jarvis, definitely wasn't intense to watch after the first as I knew Gib was comfortable after feeling him out. It definitely wasn't competitive how people are making out i mean by the 3rd round it was like 5-6 shots to jarvis' 1 explosive ineffective shot each exchange and jarvis on the ropes (literally).
@@obinnaodoemenam8762 yeah i still think jarvis looked good to how he should have however didn't see the same fight that others did for sure. I agree with you.
It was a good display from gib. A win is always great, but he did exactly what was expected. Nothing more, nothing less. It would've been nice to see a statement from gib, but atleast he got that dub. Jarvis is no pushover after all
The funny thing is that Bryce Hall said Jarvis would win, because he was taking this thing seriously. As if Gib wasn't? I love Bryce (pause), but that reason was lowkey short-sighted.
I expected Gib to dominate Jarvis has potential but he is still so brand new to the scene and his head movement was non existent. I hope Jarvis picked up somethings that Gib did in that fight
Gibs quite vulnerable early on and JJ starts fast throwing bombs so I could see gib potentially gettin knocked out or down a couple times early but gib does grow into the fight. Would be a great fight.
this is one fight where i would actually really like to see a rematch when jarvis has a little more experience under his belt. Gib worked Jarvis and showed him the levels but Jarvis wasnt terrible
Jarvis is going to be very dangerous once he has more experience, just couldn't figure out the range and doesn't know how to pace himself correctly yet
