Nate is always such a kind and genuine guy. It's always great to see him in the Columbia shop when he stops in- the whole place gets more friendly and approachable when he's there.
I'm like "These new Murphy Labs are killer" and quickly turned to "darning his socks in the night while there's nobody there". Excellent take on Eleanor Rigby
Wow Nate, your take on Eleanor Rigby was killer! My icon is the 50th Anniversary Platinum Series '59 re-issue Standard I bought new in 2009. It's not the VOS, it's the one that had to be ordered direct from Gibson bc they didn't keep/display these in guitar stores, but I sold it. That baseball bat size neck was just too big for my preference. I also ordered/bought the '60 re-issue 50th Anniversary Standard Ver. 3 in 2010. The neck has a much nicer fit & feel for me. Anyway, nice looking guitars & excellent playing. Looking forward to your next vids.
Thank you friend! One of the things I like about these Tom Murphy’s is that they really got the neck right. I like a chunky neck but certainly on some guitars there is a point where it’s just ridiculous. Not so on these. It’s perfect.
I would love to get one of the TV Yellow Juniors and maybe a '57 Goldtop. I like your choice of amps to play the Murphy Lab guitars through. I play through a BADCAT too.
You have great taste in guitars and amps! Love me a LP jr in TV YELLOW especially. And Badcat is just the best. They are a fantastic company to work with that makes a great product!
If you’re in the Springfield Missouri area, you should come by and play one! We would be glad to have you come and check out these amazing instruments.👍
@@hanskung3278 dude! Congratulations on living in Maui. Sounds like you’re living the dream! If you ever get the chance to play an actual 58 burst Les Paul (which are typically waaaaaay more expensive guitars) I think you would find that these Murphy lab guitars are remarkably (and I mean remarkably) close to the real thing. That’s what it’s all about. I get it, it’s expensive. There’s a lot of places that people spend the same kind of money (motorcycles, boats, etc) but music is unique in that you can be better at playing guitar at age 80 than you were at age 18. There’s a short list of activities that have that criteria😉. I hope this helps. That was a great question and I appreciate you bringing it up!
