The tone of that Gibson is so nice. I have a beautiful parlour acoustic from Simon & Patrick (cherry back and sides). I love the tones of these guitars. As always, love your playing. Thank you, Megan.
I have an ebony 32' original,my fave guitar. The Martin Retro strings are really good for that box. If recording, skip the condenser mic and try a ribbon or dynamic mic. Beyerdynamic M 201 is a sleeper for acoustic. Throw away the pick,God gave you fingers for a reason.
I bought one to play as a couch guitar and it’s a great finger style guitar. Light as a feather after I put down my old Guild D50. Even lighter and smaller than my Martin 000
Tried a Gibson l00 a few days ago. I felt it was overpriced all the WAY in terms of sound. Only the manufacture was MAYBE worth the price. Good looking guitar, great playability, cool headstock. That's all I'll remember of it.
it already exists…. google epiphone L-00. not a bad guitar.. but nothing like the Gibson …. I own a 2018 Gibson, Has a great blues voice and can play folk or anything else on it also. Fingerboard is smooth.. Great bottom end tone. without sacrificing the top end. I played the epiphone and a few other brands.. yes the gibson is more expensive but to me.. at that time, ( I bought it new). it has the best sound as she says.
It is actually not that close as the early 30's guitars had no truss rods, were made adirondack spruce bracing with an adi top, and they had fatter V-shaped necks. No pick up in the 30's guitar L-00 either.
At 4:33 you say the neck joins the body at the 12th fret and therefore its a 12 fret guitar. But the neck clearly joins body at the 14th fret. Did you even spend ten seconds with this instrument before you made the video?
It doesnt join at the body at the 12th but the 14th... ypu were looking at it when you said it....if you're going to edify yourself as an officianado of an icon brand then at least get your facts right.....credibility and trusted source = zero
