🛑please, if you like it, Subscribe my channel, grazie Ibanez GB200 Gibson L5C 1993 Gibson L5 CES 1980 Henriksen TEN Jazz amp lorenzo Petrocca www.lorenzopet... Video Editign Diana balser Steck dianabalser.de/ april 2021
Vielen Dank Lorenzo !!
This is not only to demonstrate the great sound of the three excellent intruments together with this Henriksen amp, but at the same time an incredible beautiful listening pleasure, Lorenzo! You are the one, who creates the sound! Bravissimo! 😍
What a pleasure to hear this beautifull instruments, played by you Lorenzo!..It shows your great virtuosity👏.. there is also a very nice balance between emotion and creativity!! Sit back and enjoy as much as I did! ....Bravissimo!!😍😍🍷
Such a beautiful sound!! You are one of my favorite Jazz guitarists and your performance here is so inspiring! You sound amazing with this guitar and amplifier!!😊🎼🎶👍
What a beautiful playing! The tone differences are BIG! For me the L5 is a sweet instrument. The solid wood L5 is a dream for me. Thanks for share this video!
Really enjoy your playing. your 3 guitars and the gorgeous Henriksen amp are the perfect choice for a musician who has made the Archtop guitar his life’s mission. I have your Jardis albums from 2001/03 and noted then of your really great jazz sound.
I frankly preferred the 1993 L5 over the 1980, but as others have noted, it’s all subjective, so I’m not going to argue with anyone about it. And lovely playing, of course!! Thank you so much for having uploaded this!
Tolles Video, super gespielt, danke Lorenzo. Jede der 3 Gitarren bietet eine unglaublich differenzierte Klangfarbe, keine kann eine der anderen Gitarre ersetzen, daher gibt es keinen Favoriten, es sind einfach 3 Klasse Instrumente.
Very beautiful and soulful presentation! 1. Guitar: Very brilliant and clear, but not so much warmth than the two L5 2. Guitar: I hear warm natural wooden sound, Very natural sounding. 3. Guitar: Most balanced sound for me. This is grand orchestra. Clear precise bass and brilliant high notes All are in good shape (like the performing guitar player ;.) Being torn between No 2 and 3 my final order is 3 > 2 > 1
Beautiful playing, beautiful guitars (and beautiful amp - I have one, I'm a huge fan). Something about that Gibson sound reminds me of every jazz guitar record I grew up on!
Grazie Lorenzo. Gran bel video, le L5 super!! Il tuo tocco e gli arrangiamenti straordinari!!!! Amo i valvolari, ma anche questi amp sono eccellenti. Forse esiste un rivenditore in Italia..............!!! Saluti
IMHO, Without any doubt. The L5 1980 (the last one) sounds the best, even though the 3 are very very close. But it's not debatable, it's only a matter of personal opinion...
In just a personal preference for sound I would go for the blonde L-5 first with that floating pick up , sounds fantastic to me. Then the sunburst L-5 which also has a lovely range of sounds and then the Ibanez which sounds very hard but beautiful all the same.
Lorenzo, un piccolo tube amp (tipo princeton o deluxe reverb) o un solid state tipo questo henriksen????? Cosi al volo, a sentimento? Che mi consigli? 😆😅😂🌈🌈🌈🌈 Bravissimo!!!! Il tuo ultimo disco e’ sempre nell’aria in casa mia 👋👋👋👋👋
I play an Ibanez AF95 and i could hear the diffright away between the two. Thr Gibson L5 1980 is clearly superior and i can see why the great Wes Montgomery played one.
Ibanez is outclassed in this comparison of solo playing. Still a quality ax and affordable. If you are gigging with a quartet it’s likely as good in that setting as the others.
My take on this trio : The Ibanez has a little more focused tone, probably quite useful in a larger band setting. For a solo performance and in a guitar/bass/drums trio, comping behind a singer etc. the blonde Gibson could really shine with the acoustic overtones it offers. The second /sunburst L5 sounds nice but offers nothing "special" to my ears. Besides, this demonstration shows the guitars in a living room situation, at a very low volume level (I hear the fingers sliding across the strings) and I could only guess how each would perform in a concert situation.
thanks for your comment, on this video you hear of course a low volume, like most of such home-videos, most of the people are grateful to listen to the instruments in a small setting, different from the big halls etc. BUT in my youtube channel you can find a lots of live-concerts video to,-) otherwise you are invited to visit me on concert:lorenzopetrocca.de/live.html best regards
@@odesyou I had one some months ago… they are laminated. Pls. write a mail to ibanez. You will see… the GB300 has also a laminated spruce top… like the Joe Pass Ibanez JP20 for example…
@@odesyou yea, I would say… it’s just a bad marketing by Ibanez. The people think it’s carved spruce… and they are more willing to pay some additional bucks for that. But laminated / or not… has today nothing to do with cheap or expensive. It’s about what the guitar is made for. A GB200 is not made for a one man show in my opinion. It’s a versatile Jazz guitar, for all kind of situations. That’s why it need to be flexible and very safe against feedback and so on… in this situation we are best with a laminated top :-) These are beautiful guitar anyway! Great sounding, aware playability… perfect neck… The AF200, almost all GB models, the Joe Pass JP20… they all have spruce tops👍… but they’re laminated 👏 Have fun with yours!
Guitars are just like women, you need you be a mach with it otherwise it will be pointless. .even if it .might be the most beautiful or most expensive... That ibanez could sound the best for someone ..
Good point. Can I ask.....acoustically would you use round or half round like thomastik beebop .14. .....and use flats when plugging into an amp? Or you might just use flats full stop
