I’ve owned multiples of each, but I never end up keeping the Specials (I have a few Juniors). Always seems to be a stronger/clearer attack w/ the Junior, just great clarity…some people attribute this to there not being a neck pickup which allows for a more pure tone w/ no extra magnetic pull in the way. If you need more versatility, the Special might be the better option, if you live on the bridge pickup the Junior might be more your thing. Although a good player will still be able to coax a lot of sounds out of the Junior, it forces you to make due w/ just that one pickup…which can be a really positive and inspiring thing.
Awesome guitar playing and outstanding review. Got the JR on the way to my home and can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the video and a New Subscriber.
