Thank you and I’m sorry for saying this but man, you look like Perry Mason!!!! (Raymond Burr)

Good job, John! I also use the extra wide seat and love it. In fact, I've tried numerous other seats and it's the only one that works for me with my bad hip. It really takes the sting away. As far as the looks; I ride a step through (some people call it a girls bike) with a seat that looks like a 1980's Lambo wing. It works for me and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I’m glad you found one that works for you. The reality is, people really should try seats out themselves. It’s really hard to say what is good for everyone. But I’d pretty much stake my reputation on the fact that the wider seats are more comfortable, especially with the more upright riding position. 👍

giddy up yeeeh haaaa rather than saddle up and Eeeeeeeek ARGHHHHHH!! Seriously though i just bought an Engwe engine x and i haven't ridden in years so the first few miles were ok and then my sit bones started hurting. i made a couple of adjustments with the seat tilt a degree backwards and altered the handlebar height and it was better but was looking at a wider seat with suspension as like you im a big guy but i have not much padding on my rump. with these engwe bikes all your weight is on the seat as you are almost upright in the saddle with little weight on your wrists so having a wider seating area would help i think. nice video. i live in the u.k with the 15.5mph pas restrictions.

I have the same issue as you with finding a comfortable seat. After riding many miles on our ebikes, many single rides of 20 or more miles at a time, I came to realize that there is no seat that is as comfortable as a car seat. I've tried many bike seats and even the wider one wears on you after a while...especially as a heavy person. We just stop and rest every 15 or so miles and that helps a lot.

Hi, got my saddle today. I like this. Fits my plump tushy just right. Combined with the Zoom seat post it's just right. It don't say how long it needs to charge the little light. I am guessing 2-3 hours. Run my lights off a car jump pack so it don't matter anyway. Run all my lights, mirror camera, 4 days no problems. Good call on the seat.

In this corner, weighing 360 pounds, the Giddy Up saddle with the 12 inch 'wings' would be my choice with a shock absorbing seat post too. I have sure become soft since my 18 wheeler drafting days back in the 1970's!! My vintage Cannondale has a ladies saddle. 330 pounds seems to be the max weight on the electric folding bikes. @ReflectionsofOurLife Год назад
Hi Dan! Sounds like you had a great time abroad! My wife and I were fortunate enough to visit Italy, France, Switzerland, and the Netherlands a few years ago which we really enjoyed. The Cloud 9 was the best seat that I had tried and we still have one on two of our bikes. But I have to say that I’m really enjoying the extra wide Giddy Up seat a lot! One of my usual commenters, Saddletramp, even said it was much better for a nerve issue he had in his hip and upper leg. It’s like sitting on a couch. The problem is that I’m probably going to have to buy another one so my wife and I can have one. I really like the red blinking lights on it too for better safety😎. But bike seats are kind of like food…some people have different tastes. If you do decide to try it I hope you like it as much as I do😃. Have a good day!!

@ReflectionsofOurLife 8 месяцев назад
Hi Rico and thanks for stopping by! I'm sorry but I don't know much about the Aspire ebikes. My suggestion is to see if Aspire has a customer service number or email that you can use to ask them about a reset. Most bikes I have do have a reset but they are all different based on the computer that the bikes have. As far as what I see as the current situation with ebikes is that if people keep riding them the way that they are, the government of each state will start enacting ebike laws that really restrict the use of them. I'm in West Virginia and people in this area are a little slow to the dance when it comes to ebikes. Although I'm starting to see more and more, they are still in very low numbers here. Also, because of the price, older people tend to have them. So for the most part, we haven't really had those types of problems. I've seen many youtube channels about ebiking from California and most are from very young people. I see that in LA they have something called LAskate or something close to that where hundreds of ebikes, scooters, one-wheels, etc. get together and fly through the streets running signs and red lights. People are going to have to treat them as regular bikes and calm down a bit or i'm afraid they are going to take the fun out of it for all of us.

I have a 'Noseless" seat and love it (I am a male). The most confortable seat. I have tried many. Someone needs to explain to me the purpose of the nose on a bike seat. Makes absolutlly no sense at all.
@ReflectionsofOurLife
@ReflectionsofOurLife Год назад
Hi nr3rful! I’ve never personally tried a noseless seat before but have seen them. I’ve heard mixed reviews about them actually. The main cons that I’ve heard is that some feel like they might slip forward off the seat. The main one is that they don’t feel like they have the same control off the bike. The second one would make more sense to me. I tend to push on the sides of the nose with my thighs to help control the bike especially on curves. But without trying a noseless seat I can’t verify that. When it comes down to it, whatever seat a rider feels comfortable on is the best seat for them. I appreciate your comment and would like to try a noseless seat to find out myself. Have a great day!

@97JoMiller That doesn’t sound good at all. I’m sorry you’ve had such a bad experience. I’ve come to realize that people have very different experiences with the same product. With seats especially, it comes down to what works for one person may not work for another. I can only report my experience but with comment like this I see that I need to stress this issue. I need to keep that in mind and select my wording better. I appreciate your input on this seat…that’s how we learn.

No worries at all. I love comments from people that have had experience with what we are talking about. My wife is using the Giddy Up seat and it’s working well for her. @ReflectionsofOurLife
@ReflectionsofOurLife Год назад
Hi @mrgoats. I totally understand your point of view and somewhat feel the same way. If you watched my review I pointed out what I liked about the seats and gave my true opinion. In the video, I stated that I didn’t like the smaller seat as much but did like the way the wider seat felt. I have tried many seats myself and one thing I can tell you is everyone will have a different opinion based on what they like and their body size and shape. As much as you don’t believe my review, I gave my honest opinion at the time. After riding with the wide seat for some time, my wife doesn’t like the wider seat as much as I do. I gave my review based on my preference being 6’ tall and 290lbs as I do with my bikes and everything. I am nothing if not honest and only give my true opinion. I’ve done bike reviews also based on a person of my size. Some bikes I have bought and some were provided. You will be hard pressed to find many reviews from people that have actually bought the products that they are reviewing. I hope you find what you are looking for. Thank you for stopping by and taking time to leave a message. It helps me be better when describing a product.

@One Man Clan I’m very sorry to hear that. I guess all rumps aren’t created equal and electronics can be touchy. I based my reviews on the two seats that I have which can not possibly represent the brand as a whole as with everything else in life. I did say that I preferred the wider seat and haven’t had any issues with the lights. But, again, I’m sorry your expectations weren’t met with the seat you bought. That certainly wasn’t my intention.
