Hand it to Neuvi’s VA too, for perfectly capturing the tone of a character outwardly unexpressive who slowly starts to understand and yearn to express human emotions. Both Amber Lee Connors and Ray Chase really poured every ounce of their experience as veteran VA into these performances

@@mythlessrwf Shows how professional they are, they could have phoned it in and still put out performances better than a large portion of the previous cast. When Neuv. realized what the other Focalor was saying, you could hear his held gasp in his next lines.

It was an amazing performance. She had to play three voices in one character, Focalor, “acting” Furina, and “true” Furina.

mate, she got me good. The entire story i was like "man i fucking hate this bratty fake..." then you play a bit more and really get humbled. She was just a poor, lonely, girl... acting how she thought she was supposed to even if it was inauthentic. She was living in constant terror that her failure would be the death of everyone in her world.

It took three hours to flip her entire character in the community.

tbh, I actually liked her 'role' from act 1. By the end of act 1 I was already convinced that there was a lot more going on with her than just what she was showing and I honestly found the facade entertaining. It was pretty obvious from the start that the Archon was in the Oritrace and Furina was either a fraud or a split off segment. My first guess was something like the hydro mimics that Oceanids can create. As a side note, Nuevi being the hydro sovereign was pretty obvious from act 2. The rest of Fontaine's main plot was loosely laid out in the summer event in 3.8 (and more blatantly than the last few summer events did).

I loved her from the beginning. Her being the best was clearly set up from the moment we met her.

The fact that no one in Fontaine knew what she did AND like just the next day Paimon guilt trip her into returning to stage is straight up vile 💀

I didn’t think they could surpass Sumeru but they actually did. It was so peak storytelling. My expectations for Natlan have skyrocketed now. Its almost certainly set for disappointment lol

I still hold that Sumeru act 2 is the single best quest in the game but Fontaine wins for over all AQ.

Natlan vX.0 archon quest is already better than every first quest of previous nation.

@@NowaylarryI’d say the opposite 😅 as a whole I enjoyed Sumeru’s more, but Fontaine’s 4.2 aq was the best. The 4.1 aq just drags the rest of Fontaine’s down imo.

Honestly, the top 3 moments Hoyo has done (not including GGZ since I haven't played it) are probably, Fontaine act 5, Otto's final moments, and Elysium Everlasting. The interesting part is that Focalors, Otto, and Elysia did everything only to sacrifice themselves at the end for others to have an opportunity.

She and neuvi will probably get. Neuvi's might be late. Furina's could be in natlan. Just like yoi came in sumeru. Cyno came in fontaine. Neuvi's story quest 2 should be about soverigns story/lore and i would be happy to see it in shneznaya.

Did she get at least 3 quest with her in 4.4, 4.7 and her personal "legends" quest?

She kinda did get a second one with the Fontaine movie event.

Honestly, i didnt join the hate bandwagon for furina. Although i had to admit her initial bratty demeanor threw me off. BUT i told myself, i'll give her the benefit of the doubt and see what this is all about..and I ended up crying because of her.

I think theyd be good for repeatable commissions, and i think a speed up would be good if ur game crashes in the middle of a long dialogue scene and you have to restart it. But the story is one of the main focuses of the game and if you could skip it it'd just be a shell. I feel like even the existence of the skip button decreases peoples likelihood of immersion in the story, it did when i tried wuwa

As a story enjoyer I still think a skip button would be rather nice. As someone with a couple of alt challenge accounts it would be rather helpful. There are only a handful of quests that still hold the same impact a second time around and then there are the sheer number of unvoiced, long, npc dialogue filled world quests and event quests. Those become very tedious when repeated. The people who would use a skip button the first time they do a quest are the same people who aren't going to pay attention to the quest anyway. In short, a skip button wouldn't hurt the game and honestly it would probably increase active player count.

​@@LilianaKali well... the Arlechino story isn't about the salvation of mankind (... well .. FontaineKind). .. and none in the Arlechino story were gods. Though, i suppose it's a more earthly parallel. (I'm a bit miffed at Arlechino for her bringing about the Poisson disaster, but Furina gets the blame. So i'm not inclined to think favourably about Arl.)

@@CedrcE - the only way Fontaine could hold back the disaster is if Furina's identity is never found out. Fracturing Furina's confidence in herself was a fracture in the protection of Fontaine. Arl set out to take the gnosis and kill Furina. That caused Furina's fit of self doubt = the fracture in protection which allowed Poisson's flooding. + When Furina's confidence was completely destroyed = when the Whale invaded the court room.

I've been Hoyo-ing for around a decade and trust me, the hate started from when Genshin had just released and the HI3 elitist crowd started being really insecure around every success Genshin accrued. The HI3 elitists feeling left out found new hope in a new Honkai name to latch onto-HSR-and looked for every way to diss Genshin with it. Then came the Penacony story. Everyone knew the story was bad. But alas, the agenda had to be maintained, so they go on to this day claiming that Penacony is a better story. They are loud and adorably vitriolic about it, so it must be true, right?

If Penacony didn't take like 8 hours just for the last act, it would be better. But Penacony story drags so much and it's way too damn long, it ruins the enjoyment for me.

Well if we take original Hydro Archon Egeria - Celestia imprison her for this sin

yeah it's certainly weird. But I still think the prophecy was from Celestia. After all, it was known to Egeria, and she created Fontanians waaaay earlier than 500 y.a. (Fontanians led by Egeria were already present in the age of Remuria after all), and who knows if Vedrfolnir was Visionary before the cataclysm, and how old was he. I began to think that he actually used the prophecy to his advantage. If he created those stone slates and encoded it so Neuvillete (and maybe Focalors) could read them, then maybe he specifically guided everyone to this specific outcome (destruction of Hydro Throne). I don't think Celestia planned to use the whale, because it would also backfire at them, they would lose all of primordial sea power

The prophecy is Fontaine will drown & Hydro archon will cry, will sitting alone But it never said that how it will drown or what it means Which means anyone can alter the background part of it Which is why how Prophecy able to made false in a sense

But its so far been very clear and direct that Celestia controls fate over beings and because they are still close to being the absolute authority of teyvat i.e controlling reality. All Celestia did was create a prophecy that eventually leads time and reality to create the outcome stated. but seemingly its also while unavoidable possible to in a way trick? and it seems like there was more then a few hands. if we subscribe to the idea that the sinners did something too. involved in modifying the variables. But equally so Focalor also created a unseen variable that destroys the divine throne of hydro and the people saved from dissolving. But its hinted at that its a very cruel method that Celestia creates such judgements that takes into effect that after so long as focalor put it should have been long since forgiven and coming from the very usurpers of the dragons sovereigns power. Its hypocritical to judge others on what they have done themselves. hence why the whole idea of dictating everyones fates(granted you are a tied to the world) so that people are bereft of truly making their own fate/life because Celestia has long since made the choice of what happens to you is hurting the world further and further. It paints the picture that though the abyss is absolutely bad and it will hurt the world for it to gain further ground. Celestia represents control over freedom. Which has only gotten worse in lore. Basically what started out with a noble idea even if done by force like taking the elemental dragon sovereigns power. Now is as bad as the abyss but in a opposite way. Both are leading things to a worse situation. and teyvat is right in the middle with many like the fatui and the archons arguably wanting to change everything.

The prophecy only stated Hydro Archon crying alone in her throne, while Fontaine drowned. The neat part about how and why CAN be altered. It's like "If we can't stop whatever this flood from happening, let's just make sure it's water and not lava." That's why it didn't APPEAR as it could be. It's ALTERED from the WORSE fate.

In fairness, I think Zhongli has a much larger plan. Otherwise why would he risk giving his gnosis to the Tsarista? He knows something the rest of us don't.

Natlan's opening acts is actually decent, it's all the hype that you wish the continuing acts will be better than the other

While not a great pick she does at least work with Furina and typically doesn't ruin reactions since she doesn't really apply much cryo. Throw Sac sword and the clam set on her and she isn't complete dead weight. You can get roughly 15k AOE off field DPS from her thanks to the clam set and her over healing isn't a loss in Furina teams. Qiqi isn't great but she is a lot better than she was a launch.

I used my free 5star to finally get c6 Qiqi, now I can triple crown her😅

I prefer Gigguk chose Qiqi actually. Following his Genshin journey from the beginning, Qiqi hold quite high sentimental value.

The fact that Furina was never caught is a testament to how great her performance was. As to why Focalor couldn't just undo the curse, that just won't work. Focalor was to be punished. How can the condemned acquit their own sin? That's just impossible.

Or did the sin pass onto Focalors when she took over after Egeria died? Oh yeah Furina’s acting/performance was more than just amazing, I don’t think words can describe it. She was praised by archons of other nations too (from their voicelines about her). I just thought Celestia would’ve noticed that the real archon was hiding in the oratrice, you would’ve thought they would notice the gnosis wasn’t actually on Furina or like with Neuvillette.

@@huangjen1123 Yes, I understood the story went as Egeria was indeed the one condemned and Focalor then had to shoulder the sin. That's about it. Celestia being inobservant was a precedent set during the end of Sumeru Archon Quest like you mentioned in your original comment. Whether Celestia is truly "asleep" is up in the air. You'd imagine Celestia wouldn't be too happy about Neuvillette being reinstated the Hydro authority, and yet, we saw no reaction from Celestia. I think it's safe to assume that Celestia is truly asleep. Hence the events that unfolded right under Celestia's nose were only met with inaction.

I think good friends will do. The playable cast in Fontaine love her, and there are indications that Hu Tao might become a BFF.
