why does this always happen?! neigh! (jumps over jump) do I get a ribbon? is there a thing like this for men as well? honest question, I just want as many perspectives as possible. is it just human nature to judge competitively or is it about women/beauty/value
Really the only reason Gigi even looked on par with Zendaya was because that dude in a dress ruined her look. Bro she was eating the scarf looked like stars then homie from the bronx pulls up bro striaght looks like a gangster in a dress homie has no estrogen in him LMAO tf
Zendaya is just unbelievable. It doesn't really matter what outfit she wears, it's about the way she carries herself - always natural, gentle and relaxed. Love her
Indian culture doesn't get enough recognition. That's a fact. Theyre only beginning to. Which is great! There are so many assumptions. My experience is that they provide such a feeling of so much kindness...I feel most would be so proud of those celebrating their culture through wear of these garments. Young or old. It is a beautiful thing.
@@rock_lee3145 Wait what? No hun. I never said that. I just simply meant that while the us is so diverse it nice to see Indian individuals/culture incorporated too. They're very kind people. That is ALL I was meaning to convey. While ultimately I don't believe anyone has more worth than the other. We each are of immense importance..have a good day
You mean get enough attention from Americans because they have a whole industry it’s called Bollywood and I have watched Indian movies. I just don’t want to wrap somebody for fake. I don’t want it to be Trendy I don’t care that other people borrow from other peoples culture is when they borrow so much, they start thinking it’s theirs and then mocking people for calling it out. “appropriation” It’s very passive aggressive narcissistic so I don’t want to do that so if something ever comes up then I’m invited to something Indian and I get to wear it I will I will look into it I’ll do my research but I don’t wanna wear their culture as a trend. I don’t care call me woke.
No different than Africa 😅 I can literally name countries cities in people in Africa. They dress the exact same way but then again civilization did start there😊
@@monejohn9973 Indian dresses are similar as Africans? Well you can find similarities in southeast Asian and south Asian traditional dresses but i didn't know about Africa 😅
Looks like the other way to me..that Zendaya wasnt comfortable walking...perhaps it was due to her waiting for her dress to be adjusted...but Gigi seemed more at ease probably due to the less fuss with hers. Just my opinion anyway. I liked how Gigis hair and skintone really complimented her gold color of her outfit...but Zendayas beautiful stary dress was visually stunning. Wonder if having her with long hair extensions and pehaps some shimmer would have made this even more beautiful. Both are gorgeous bombshells❤🎉
@@amberg4131 Nope! Zendaya looks fresh. Gigi is beautiful but she doesn’t look as put together in this outfit. They are both beautiful so I guess it’s preference.
@@1drfulfree471 exactly. No issues with opinions or tastes. Both women are beautiful...I heard a rumor about a ferngully movie possibly with Zendaya...I hope that's real
Low lighting is vital for my daughter due to her eyesight problems. Low light is important for her. She loves anything glittery or sparkly where low light catches on it. So fabric on Zendaya’s dress is a hands down winner for my daughter
It's slightly irritating to put women against each other. They were *both* doing their best to represent the Indian culture tastefully & w/ respect. They looked equally beautiful.
@@nicosiedummett3860 How is it offensive to talk about your opinions about whose outfit you like better? People are so sensitive nowadays about the most stupid sh*t.
Gigi represented a traditional Indian 🥻 saris with respect and honor. The saris that Gigi adorned appeared heavy and imo she wore it beautifully. She walked in heels 👠 and needed no assistance while posing in the lovely attire. Zendaya looked very pretty but seeing that she needed assistance walking in the weightless sari/dress and still had difficulty stepping on her sari left her appearance as if she didn’t represent the very thin Indian sari near as elegantly and respectfully as Gigi Hadid ❤✨🌹👸🏼🎉
with the way she was tripping over it so much only being able to shift her full focus away from her feet to pose, i’d disagree on it being a perfect fit… the only true competition here was between z and that dress
well gigi's git perfectly too so what now 💀 i think her fit was also so well draped. pitting them against each other is so weird when you could just shout out the designers and keep it pushing
@@monkeymilk_okay you must’ve watched a different video than me 😂 she was not “tripping over it” she was making sure as she walked that her heels kicked out the front of the dress to ensure she didn’t trip over it (as all females with a floor length dress have to do) and once someone came to re lay the back for her or make sure it was flat and neat for the pictures (which literally happens with every female in a train on a red carpet since you’re constantly turning and stopping for pictures). That is all. 😅
@bennettcawley4360 Gigi never almost tripped. She didn’t need any assistance walking in her ‘high’ heels as you could clearly see her heels as she walked. No complications for Gigi Hadid. One thing I noticed that I thought was awkward was the nature of the ladies’ personalities while donning the saris 🥻. Gigi seemed to wear her sari with pride, while Zendaya seemed to be goofing off in hers. It didn’t seem appropriate of Zendaya in my opinion 🫢
Maybe when it's "indian" silhouette of a sari concept completely reimagined by a couture designer... 2nd dress was way more "indian" traditional sari looking but it was nothing special to look at. The first dress was vaguely in the sari style but nothing about it screams indian to me and it was also much more appealing to the eye. On first watch I thought the reason for this video was because zendayas dress got snagged and ppl needed to help with it and the second woman's didn't (didn't touch the floor at all) but on second watch no they were just posing the cascades of the dress for photographers
both wore traditional Indian, "half sari" concept. Where skirt is seperate and rest parts are joined, stitched later for comfort.. unlike normal sari where single price of cloth is folded, twisted to form all these pleats, palloo etc. Zendaya sari fabric material and work on it is north Indian style. While Gigi's half sari/ instant sari look and fabric is south Indian Kerala state sari. Kerala ethnicity sari is ivory/cream sari with gold work border and palloo. Gigi wore half sari inspired by that, only addition and modern take on it by Indian designer was metal gold blouse
As an Indian, it’s so nice to see our culture represented by influencers. Z looked great but I’ve seen almost identical saris in india. I loved the originality of Gigi’s look because it was slightly traditional but modern. Gigi’s look was unique and absolutely stunning!
I'm not Indian, but even to my untrained eye, I thought the same. Zendaya wore a beautiful sari and I absolutely adore it, but Gigi wore something that looked a bit more traditional to me. Both are beautiful.
Not Indian but it looks more like those from are you saying yes to the dress india,,Zendayas looks quite unique and totally different from traditional ones,,
Not really influencers they’re celebrities, one does more then the other but equally both are stunning in y’all cultural attire. And the Saree colors and accessories definitely beautifully made kudos to the designer and their team for putting it all together for both.
Indian outfits are something to behold regardless of who is wearing them. The craftsmanship, vibrancy and details are just gorgeous. So naturally both of these beautiful women look amazing in them.
As an Indian woman, I can say they both look stunning and choose great colors and designs that compliments their skin tones and body types. Gigi's pleading is perfection!
Personally I LOVE the comments on this. Everyone is so positive and loving of them both. THIS is the kind of comment section I love to see, acknowledging other people’s beauty without insulting anyone in the process. ❤️
