For me this is the best tune Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson ever put to vinyl. It's just so perfect. The flutes so discordant, but are what really makes it for me.
I wrote Mr. Heron while he was incarcerate to draw strength in order to maintain. His MOVEMENT moved me but he FELL victim to sick social system. He GUIDED my pen when I needed it.
I saw him perform at Yale and had the pleasure of meeting this talented, brilliant artist....it was unforgettable. It is so hard to believe he is gone. I will always love his music! R.I.P. Gil
