A Gilbert mother is without her wheelchair after someone took it from her driveway. She thinks they made a mistake and she'd like to get the special wheelchair back.
You're absolutely correct! But people in this comment section are going to say it's victim blaming. I live in a safe neighborhood and I always lock my car door even though it's in my driveway. But with all that being said I wouldn't give a penny to a GoFundMe to help someone who takes so little care of something that is so special to her. If she had to work to pay for that wheelchair she would have brought it inside.
@@LONE_WOLF_GANG oh they stole pure and simple. But like I said I wouldn't leave my car unlocked in my driveway just because why take the chance. I also wouldn't leave my purse on my front porch even though it's on my property.
@@aprilrawls5162 I 99% agree with you but I've thieves in action, and no thief would be that slow, let alone steal a wheelchair. Nobody buys wheelchairs, especially a stolo. I still agree with everything you said.
as a person in a chair myself i honestly hope she gets hers back ,it looked like it was a mistake when it was taken because they werent running away with it
I've often thought I could wheel out and leave my chair and drive...I haven't thinking maybe this could happen and here in Australia my custom chair was $13,000! I really hope you get it back asap. 🙏
After watching this video, I bet it was not intentionally stolen. Here in Florida, there is a bulk pick-up trash day every other week. Just prior to pick-up days, people take large items out to the end of their driveway and the city trash comes and picks up these large items that are too big to fit in the trash. On top of that, you have people driving around and picking up items (like a wheelchair) that contain a lot of metal or may be salvageable for them to fix it and re-sell later for a profit. To me, it looks like that was simply an older gentleman and his wife doing exactly that. The chair was at the end of the driveway and sitting next to a large demolition/rubbish bin. I bet this was an honest mistake and the folks that picked up were simply grabbing salvage items and did not think they were stealing something that was in active use by the homeowner. I am hoping that the couple becomes aware of what has happened, and when they find out they return it to her.
pretty much everywhere, if you leave stuff out by the street its a pretty general sign that is for the taking, specially sitting next to a huge rolloff dumpster.
Mistake or not she requires it for nearly everything! You never REMOVE anything from another individual's property WITHOUT PERMISSION, GODDAMN IT. This is just like taking away-Tiny Tim's crutches!!!
Except the wheelchair wasn't actually on her property at all, it was left at the end of her driveway on the street next to her trash cans which were out for collection. This also occurred on a day specifically designated for large item disposal (where large items like mattresses, refrigerators, old furniture and fixtures, etc. can be placed out with regular trash for pick up), so leaving the wheelchair out next to items intended for collection was pretty negligent on her part. Had she actually left the chair on her property, just a few feet away, this mistake never would have occurred.
one more example of the sick twisted world , we live in . I've lost all hope in humanity . please put up a go fund me page for this wonderful lady . it's the least those of us decent ones can do . peace to you & your family .
@@domusdebellum3042 Yeah, but wondering if you did. It was large item pickup day and the old man driving the old pickup with a bunch of scrap in the back most likely thought it was left out to be picked up. Damn dude, take a breath.
@@terrismith9095 oh i didnt notice i tagged you in my comment. boogey men arent everywhere, and you arent under constant attack. dont be a perpetual victim.
@@domusdebellum3042 To be fair, the way RU-vid notifications work is so stupid. You get notified that somebody replied on a comment thread that you commented on, even if the comment isn't direct towards you. This can make it seem like the person is replying to you, even when they're not. RU-vid really should adopt Reddit's notification system; you only get notified when somebody is directly commenting to you.
