too bad Gilbert doesn't share more solis with Saraceno on this one... Paul GILBERT, Lead Guitar Blues Saraceno, Best Blues Lead Guitar Randy JACKSON, Bass John FERRARO, Drums Jim COX, Keyboards
Love both these players. Wish PG would go back to the style of his older solo albums, which were more pop tunes with vocals and KILLER guitar. And wish that Blues would do any kind of solo album. Loved "Plaid" and "Hairpick"...and even Transmission OK. That guy can play.
This is weird, I've seen plenty of other videos where Paul plays with other guys, and gives them plenty of room to play. Not on this song. Almost seemed like the rest of the band didn't know where the breaks were in the song. Paul had to direct them. I would've liked to hear more of Blues on this one too...
It’s astonishing that blues had a problem in the beginning just playing a basic call and response. He obviously wasn’t listening to what was going on. Then, when Paul signal to break it down, blue still had his volume wide-open, once again, not paying attention. Blues is extremely limited to what he can do. He’s pretty good at swing, blues, minus that from the equation, you could see what happened here, he was lost.
Cletus, Cream broke up before B.S. was even born. He did not replace E.C. and Ginger Baker is hardly a blues drummer. I like Blues's playing, but he's not a blues guitarist. He's just really good with six strings.
Since Blues isn't following Gilbert's instructions during the "quick n' short" segment, Saraceno's tone is better, in this case shows up Gilbert in the lick category, let's just cut into some lame song so folks can hear my weak vocals instead.
@@9unslin9er get a spoon and dig the wax and rats out of your fukkin' ears asswipe, that fukkin tone sounds like mosquitoes playing kazoos through tin cans you fukkin imbocile . . . . .
It's funny how so many guitar playing can not play lick back a nd fourth. One person is always to loud or always just tries to play fast. To all guitar players, yes, ripping it up is fun, but CHILL THE FK OUT!
From a big Paul Gilbert fan, this is one of his worst performances. I’m not referring to his tinny sound or generic playing, but lack of respect for Blues Saraceno. Blues definitely should have had equal play since Paul asked for a “conversation”. Paul should have been accurate with his choice of words and tell 8:36 Blurs that he would like a “Soliloquy” . Blues was classy and not only did his tone shine but humbleness. I’m sure everyone has a bad day and I’ve seen Paul be absolutely sweet however this jam needed Blues’s synergy between Paul. It was obvious Paul was intimidated by his playing and in this case more than Guthrie Govan. In the end of the day soul wins and Blues is an absolute winner❤
both of these guys kill, but the man that smokes em both put together is VAI. Then me and then Nuno. And Randy's quite the bassist. But not quite the singer.

When you said "me", that's the time I realized you were joking.
I love Paul Gilbert. Huge Mr. Big fan. And enjoyed this song. But not only did he hog the spotlight and not make room for Blues to play.... but he didn't even pronounce his name right. Saraceni??? Disappointed in PG here.
It’s amazing how Blues Saraceno can’t jam over a basic tune. He doesn’t pay attention to the band members and know how to do a call and response. He’s got one style at one tempo and that seems to be yet. I thought for sure he would be able to improv much better.
