Oh wow. What an absolute, utter, delightful treat. I could hardly restrain myself from applauding. I was enormously impressed by the fact that all the principal singers had learned the complete dialogue as well as the musical numbers. Not only that: they delivered their lines in such a way as to involve what was clearly a hugely supportive audience in all the G & S jokes. The warm laughter was heart-lifting. What a lesson in how to present a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. I am charmed to see that the U.S. can "do" G & S as well as any home grown outfit - if not better. Hearty salutations from the rural depths of Lincolnshire, UK.

What a wonderful performance. Excellent singing and a faultless musical rendition of a classic British operetta watched from start to finish and thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for posting.

Fabulous performance beginning to end. I've been playing along with the clarinet 1 part rehearsing this afternoon. I'm playing for Dunfermline G&S at Carnagie hall next week.

'Nightmare song quite well sung. Not sure about the "alterations" made to Sir Arthur's music on the last two bars!!!! Hmmn? The trick here, is in getting Sir Willams words out with the clarity of diction they deserve, which by and large you did. and not playing games with Sullivan's music Good job, very well done! Try the patter song in 'The sorcerer', loads of fun.😊

Sullivan is certainly superbly served in this rendition with excellent musicality. 🏆 Gilbert is too, with such good clarity of diction, even though this does draw attention to USA pronunciation. In some cases, the soloists needed a bit more help with the acting side, but I can only see a better concert version to have happened at the proms concerts in London. Orchestra and choristers should be very proud of their work.

A great version of this great play. I only missed the parading of the peers, which is a good spectacle in itself. The last part of the Nightmare Song was a little too vibrant, considering the LC is supposed to be exhausted and sleepless, ready to collapse. The music was very well-done. I loved Strephon's performance, especially when moping at the beginning of Act 2, and the way his announcement of his mother's fairyhood slips out. Very nice, that the LC sings her name at the end. I hear it spoken too often. Especially nice that the LC interposes himself between Iolanthe and the queen. I always thought that's what he would do. Strephon feeling his legs become fairy like the rest of him is a nice touch.
