Gillette Mach3 v. Mach3 Turbo | Sunday Shave ep.25  

Mach 3 will never die! I still use one some..... Gillette would be stupid to ever discontinue it. Mach 3 and the Sensor were the two razors my dad bought for me when I was a teenager and started shaving.... I loved both ever since.

Great Video for 5 a.m., Tony! Thank you for doing it so early in the morning! I still have my old Gillette Mach 3 Power with the battery power handle and still have 12 fresh blade cartridges for it that I have had for many years, now! If Gillette blades weren't so overpriced, I’d easily go back to using my 3 blade Gillette razor handle and blades.

One interesting comparison for travel would be: AA operated razors....there is one from panasonic, braun and norelco....all from amazon....less than $18. Then again I believe the best option when traveling: a gillette disposable 2-3 blades and using the hotel conditioner to shave.... some vid options.......cheers mate, keep them coming

mach 3 and mach 3 turbo have been the razors I've religiously used for roughly 5 years now. but i recently bought a one blade pro because of watching your videos. so far so good.

I’ve been using the Gillette Mach3 blades forever. I’ve got a graying beard I manage with an electrical trimmer but I really put these blades to the test the last 10 years or so cuz I shave my head and neck three days a week. I buy the blade refills through amazon and buy enough for six months at a time. Been using the same handle. Haha. See ya tomorrow

I've been using the Mach 3 for 6 years. It was my very first razor. I've tried many different razors including electric ones. I can easily conclude that Mach 3 is the best, considering all the aspects. It's my genuine individual opinion. I'm glad you like it too! 😀

I use Mach 3 simply because it does the job, and with extra money on cream, you get a good shave. The turbo is more expensive and it lowers the image of the Mach 3.

I have not been able to find any Mach 3 Turbo replacement blades anywhere. After about 7 months of this I called Proctor and Gamble and they told me the Mach 3 Turbo has been discontinued back in Jan 2020.

I’ve used the Turbo for 20 years now, but I think the Turbo has been discontinued. You can’t find the refills in most stores, when you find them they cost as much as a power tool, and you can’t find them without a handle. I already have a handle. I just need the refills. I’ve tried the Mach 3 and other razors. They just aren’t as smooth as the Turbo. Has Gillette discontinued the Turbo?

I've had my Mach 3 with a AAA battery for over 10 years, which makes it vibrate. It appears it has finally died even if I replace the battery. Maybe too much crud where the battery goes? I'm having a hard time finding this razor anywhere. I guess they stopped making it.

2020 UPDATE* found out this morning why it's mach3 turbo is DISCONTINUED is because you got lucky, most mach3 turbo have issues if you looakt reviews . (short version just pickup mach 3 regular ones is one option) "I have used Mach3 Turbo blades for years and they were highly effective and lasted quite a long time. The new, "sharper" blades, however, represent a steep drop in quality. I cannot even fully remove the stubble from my face anymore shaving against the grain, and the blades barely last longer than a couple of shaves before they become almost useless. I follow all the care and pre-shave instructions that Gillette recommends, and they make no difference. There is a clear discrepancy between the performance of the old blades and the extremely poor performance of the new blades, and I must now search for a better brand. Sadly, I can no longer recommend Gillette's Mach3 Turbo razors, as the only purpose of the "new" blades appears to be to force you to change the blades more often (and thus purchase more of the expensive blades more often) since they do not last long."

Hello! Does the moisturizing strip on the Mac 3 Turbo peel off ugly like on the Mac 3? Or does the color always remain blue?

The Gillette turbo is hard to find. The Gillette web site only shows the original mark 3, not the turbo. Maybe they are discontinuing it. But why would they keep the mark 3. I am going to give them a call to find out why.

I really like the Mach 3 / Mach 3 Turbo as a cartridge razor, it's solid and smooth and overall I find the fusion 5 and its many variations to be unnecessary upgrades, but honestly a traditional de safety razor is just so much better, it's incomparable

How long can i expect my mach 3 handle to last? Has anyone had the handle break prematurely or malfunction in some way?

I tried this mach 3 for the first time since around the year 1999. I thought these manufacturers need to stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Those 4 + blades is totally unnecessary, and probably the reason for a lot of the irritation. Those with the battery in them is just a gimmick to get us to spend unnecessarily. If I remember correctly, the Mach 3 originally had a handle made out of metal, now it's plastic. 😒 Bummer, but I'm still permanently going back to this one.

basically the mach 3 turbo is the iprovement of the the mach 3.You are not going to see big differences but htat depends in a lot of things of course.I have the mach 3 turbo and it does the job.When my razors of the mach 3 turbo run out ithink im goign to buy the fusion proglide because i want to try something different.

Mach 3 turbo is being discontinued FYI - so if you want them stock up now (was told directly by gilette) when I called issue with one of the razor handle for mach3 turbo i got for travel was stuck didn't work properly. if you search for mach3 turbo on many sites in us such as cvs/walgreens/walmart and check "available in store" you will see it is already hard to find. Hope this helps.Shick got rid of hydro 3 is wh I switched back to mach3 turbo recently and now this being discontinued = oh well I guess mach3 regular?

Make sure you buy a water pick to clean your razors (as well as your teeth). This will push the life of the razor by 500%. Seriously it’s true and will save you a fortune.

Mach3 my 2nd razor 1st was contour plus by Gillette never bought the handle to turbo, but the blade fits amch3 as well so tried the blade, cant find that mousse you use here in Denmark not even e-bay not in the 80´s i googled it : The Mach3 razor was released in North America during the last week of June 1998. It was first sold in Europe in September 1998. Mach 3 Turbo - this razor was released in late 2001

Whenever I shave with razor (not electric one) I'm having red dots on my face... What to do and why is this happening? Is it because of the razor I use or the shaving foam /gel? (I used to cut with Mach 3 formula 1 special edition and Nivea foam...)

I was shaving today with my first-ever Razor and I messed up my mustache I had to shave it off how long does it usually take for one to grow back because I heard different preferences I heard that it takes months and just a few weeks

I have use gillet victor and mach 3 ....... And then I use cheep plastic gillet razor and ilove the cheap plastic single blade plade are much cheep and in one shave your face is cean shave and it's blades are 90 to 95 percent cheaper than this expensive blade

Gillette Mach 3 is what I use for shaving. It works well for me.
