Okay, so I know I'm 3 years late here, but I just saw this faint debacle on "when reality TV goes wrong". I'm a nurse, and whilst working in emergency & on wards, I've seen innumerable patients lose consciousness, fall, tumble and experience syncope (faint). I believe her reaction was genuine, and occurred due to a phenomenon called vasovagal pre-syncope (basically pre or partial faint). This occurs when you develop hypotension (low blood pressure) and thus hypoxia, but, unlike a full syncope, you have enough time to self correct, to avoid a loss of consciousness. In all likelihood, she developed a vasovagal pre-syncope from an anxiety attack, complicated by hyperventilation. Her muscles would've lost tone, resulting in weakness and an inability to remain upright. Furthermore, she may have had a head "rush", with associated visual loss, causing her to tumble/ knees buckle. The other thing that points to this being genuine? A vasovagal faint is MUCH more likely to occur when a patient quickly goes from a lying/sitting position to a standing position, as this can drop BP further (particularly in those with POTS). I'm sick of seeing her faint footage being continuously compared with so-called "real faints", which are predominately 'toy soldier' syncopes. This is bullshit, as faints come in all different shapes and sizes; many people will have advance warning, allowing them to tumble or even sit on the ground quickly to avert a fall and injury. In some cases, when patients have heart arrhythmia or partial epilepsy, it's like a switch goes off in their head, and they fall face first or completely backwards. Very scary stuff. But basically, I think this poor woman is having a very severe panic attack, had a low BP, hyperventilated, went a bit hypoxic, and then tumbled as a protective response. It was a genuine reaction. I hope she's doing ok. I think the mob social media shit is ridiculous - all these people just deciding the faint was fake, w/o checking with trained professionals. No, you're all fucking armchair nurses and doctors. But that's the law nowadays, isn't it?! If a mob on social media tells you you're a racist, or sexist, or evil or not really sick, then it automatically becomes gospel. I'm sad there was no sympathy for her or concern for her health, only nastiness. She had to do all these disgusting challenges, and the public ONLY voted for her to do them because she was struggling and people are sadistic arse hats.

@@afloatingpineapple6170 yes i know but he is now getting help and hhas exepted he needs to change and if u didint know has been 8 months almost of of alchohol i love ant bc when my dad left i loved watching ant and dec ant has always been a father figure a person i look up to so im always going to support him no matter what
He actually isn't when he says "ok" you can here he is quiet but when he goes over to where ant and Dec are (presumably where there is a boom mic behind the camera) you can hear him
I know, you can't even feel sorry for people who fake faint like that. You can tell its not real by everyone else's reaction, they all know it's an act, hence why they aren't that concerned.
I don't understand why these people go on this show if they aren't willing to get stuck in and enjoy the experience. You can tell she fakes the faint to get out of doing the trial, quite pathetic really for someone of her age - and the other celebrities look unconcerned so you can tell its not real.

She made the show! I laughed so much in that season . I was one of the millions who purposely called in to get her to do a trial. Defiantly entertaining!
The fall was too controlled as well. If you're gonna faint you dont bend at the knees & put your arm out to control it. You literally hit the deck. Still it was great entertainment 😂

She's not setting a good team example either - it's just being pathetic and embarrassing herself and her campmates - I'd have had more respect for her if she just flat out refused to do it, not go pantomime and give a fainting performance. That's what you'd expect a child to do and it's cringey. No one forces them to do this show.
greenkitty82 Well the reason she most likely did it was for attention because don't forgot the more time they have on the air and on tv the more money they make so when people kept voting for her she couldn't be really good and win she had to do something stupid to make people keep wanting her to faint and that caused her to make more profit and money!
