When I hear Welch and Rawlings sing together it always feels like they are both actively trying to sing below the other and when it works it is a beautiful thing, making one voice out of two. Same here. Really great job.
Please do more from this genre!! Takes me back to your early bluegrass days, which is kind of a "first cousin" to the blues and rock you do so well. I think a bit would be a positive addition.
Wow! So haunting, yet beautiful. I will wake up with this song in my head soon. Please keep on sharin' those roots, sistas. Y'all rock! (More now than ever.)
Amazing how these ladies could sing the ingredients off a cereal box and it would be wonderful. Love Gillian Welch, and thank you for this rendition of her song.
So nice. A girlfriend and I have performed and played together over the years and we LOVE to sing Gillian W. songs. There is usually one stuck in my head on any given day.
I haven't even recovered from the shock of the previous cover, ("As I Lay Me Down" by Sophie B. Hawkins) here's another magic...("The Devil Had A Hold Of Me") But how do they do it...?😍😍🎸🎸
Heavenly harmonies and a great cover as always......one of my all-time favorite songs is Gillian Welch's Time the Revelator. Allison Moorer did a fantastic cover version titled Revelator.
What a dreamy soulful version... thanks for this, my spirit is cleansed, even the devil had no choice but be in awe against such good positive vibrations, loved it 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
