I used to play out with a friend and we LOVED singing Gillian's songs. I still sing them on my own. And David Rawlings is one of the world's mandolin masters.
I was lucky to see them in a warm up show before this. It's been 6 years since they've toured, 13 since Gillian's last album. Love that this new album is a true blend of both of their songs!
Amy,thanks again for last years post of Rhiannon Giddens with Paul Simon. Saw Gillian and David at Calgary Folk Festival in 1995(6)? Made me cry singing Mama and Papas Waltz.
...and yet some folk think they're one of the best things that's ever happened. It'd be an awful boring world if we all liked the same things. Maybe go and listen to something you do like?
