Who has been waiting for this tutorial!?! been meaning to do this one for so long!! Please note I used all the modes on the gimbal to achieve these shots. IT WAS SHOT WITH VIDEO! 24/25 FPS, what ever f stop you want. Thanks for watching! and Please sub for more videos soon (: Peace!!
Actually it's not clear to me, it's really hard may be, first step, you gonna create gimbal hyperlapse with which modes like I have two modes one is lock mode that mode specially for lock mode camera in a straight position not moved and second one is your camera moved like you move where so while street going to take turns how I can move camera during lock modes? And second is I need to only record video clip or only doing video lapse ? Then in market you had been in lock mode so how you used gimbal movement during shoot of upper body like the clock and above one ? And then you converted with after effects composition , but we can make TimeRemaping in premier pro, then motion blur with transform use shutter angel for blur , and masking also knowing and I also couldn't catch the point while you masking and opacity transition , so make me all clear!?
Been I got a question, ¿does it matter if I'm always walking forward? Or do I need to walk backwards at times? (For example the ceiling shot, when exiting out, did you revers the clip or walk out backwards?) 🙈 sorry I'm just trying to get it right
He walks all the way forward I think.. and if you like his video, so you should walk forward, too. But basically it depends on your needs, style or content. Hope it helps :)
@@Benn_TK Yeah thats true! I just wasn't sure if you got a lot of it in camera using a slow shutter or used an external plugin like RSMB or not. Glad I know now!
Internet's biggest questions: 1. Where/who did Benn TK start learning film editing/after effects from? 2. How does he get people on the streets to do what he wants? Eg: Laughing and looking at the camera (I once tried nicely and got a shoe thrown at me) 3. Lenses and for what situations? 4. Where is Benn TK now? Ok ok they were mine.. lol. *prays to the Master of A.E Benn TK*
Don't worry, I don't have AE either and I made this entire film without it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6KzoQ12wsZw.html It has parts similar to what Ben did with a gimbal + hyperlapse but all done in Premiere Pro. I believe most NLE software would allow you to do it. (:
*** What about the settings ??? *** Are you shooting in 24p?? What is your shutter - Keeping it at 1/50? or better to have it lower to increase motion blur?? And for those people that shoot on a Sony, there is an S&Q option. Thoughts on using that??
on Sony vegas (now its called magix) time remaping is done by just draging with ctrl hold, I still cant understand why Adobe products are so over-complicated ever for simplest tasks.... maybe they want to buy their lessons ;)
How in the world is your movement so smooth? Ive tried using my ronin and an 18mm lens to shoot down an alleyway like in this video. Its not very sooth looking especially the vertical shake. I even did the ninja walk that is talked about a lot. It looks worse when I speed it up. Anyone have suggestions?
Ben Summa warp stabilizer, next time when walking in the ninja walk try holding your elbows against your body when you hold the gimbal in front of you, creating a “triangle” with your forearm. Other than that you can also zoom in on your footage 5-10% and then possibly readjust the height of the video with keyframes if it’s really bad in some parts. (Lot of work) but just the resize should already help a bit.
I am a newbie youtuber and starting to study about editing. What can you suggest where do I begin? I have some vlogs on my channel but it is kind of a newbie edits. I would like to have a simple vids :(
Hi, I'm a fan of your editing techniques, Great video and super cool editing. For a beginner like me, what gimbal would you recommend to start with? Your videos are definitely an inspiration...
Wait, is that Hosier Lane? I've been there several times (I'm a Melbourne guy too), by the way would a steady-cam work or you need a motorized gimbal no matter what?
Awesome video man!! I kinda knew how to to do a Hyperlapse, but you take it to a whole new level also always! Keep the video goodness coming 🤙 Cheers from the Netherlands!
This is a great effect, but I feel like you've made it hypercomplicated by doing it in after effects. Surely you could do all the same stuff - masking, time remapping, motion blur etc, faster and much much more simply for novice editors in Premiere rather than after effects?
i've always found after effects to be faster and give a better result each time. plus i'm better at after effects than premiere pro so its natural to me! but at least now you know what to incorporate into premiere!
Insanely good mate. Question: Are you using any intervalometer for your Crane 2 and Sony camera. I just bought a Sony a7iii and a Crane 2, I'm able to do the timelapse, but the gimbal doesn't take any photo, just do the movement. Don't know if that's normal or it's necessary to have an intervalometer.
Benn TK cheers mate, unfortunately that even video didn’t work for me. However, updated the Sony firmware and there’s an inbuilt intervalometer, so using the inbuilt intervalometer for shooting the timelapse and using just the gimbals’s movement to get the movement
Can you share your SFX with us or tell us where you get yours? :) We can really see the difference/importance of SFX in the beginning and end of the video
This is not Hyperlapse.... Hyperlapse is when you shot single image in sequence. Ben is actually recorded this in video mode then use the After Effect for time remapping. Collect me if i'm wrong!!!!
Wow, this is one hell of a tutorial of the craziest video effect ever saw... Thank you for sharing this, I always amazed whenever I see it in your video...
can you show us how you mask more neatly into another clip like how you explained the turn in the video, but what if you don't have the turns also can you show us how you speed and slow down a video to the sound of the music and lower the music when under water PLEASE THANK YOU....... HAVE A NICE DAY YOUR THE BEST!!!!! #BENN!!!!
Hello and thank you to share with us. I didn't understand well how you did the clip of the roof at 1:50 or 4:07 Which gimbal mode because you cannot do this in lock mode or following mode can you? I need to know how you film that clipppp 😅
This sequence is next level good. Like, it kind of blew my mind at some of the transitions. Really looks like it could be some crazy sequence from a blockbuster movie. I am just learning davinci resolve 15 and am wondering if it has similar effects built into it?
