Wow, Great tutorial, explained very patiently which is great for beginners. Thanks a lot for uploading! I just discovered your channel and it's awesome.
Hoi Joy Pypeloy 😃. 👌
Hallo Jan thank you very much for this fantastic tutorial. For the first time I watched one of your tutorials on my TV. To see the step by step development of a picture in extra large format greated in my case an extraordinary Wow-effect. The woman came slowly into view, emerging out of the white and gradually the result became better and better. You are a great artist! As soon as I can I will recreat your image. I am looking forward to doing it. Have a nice week. 🙋♀️🐾
Hi there, Amy Russel again 😃. Thanks so much for your wonderful comment. Really nice! I think I understand what you mean, because I am always editing on a large tv screen. It's so much more fun to see it in such an extra large format. High contrast, great colors etc. I hope you enjoy recreating the image; that's why we have Gimp, just to have a good time, don't you agree? Have a good weekend and thank you again👌. Best regards, Jan.
Leuke tutorial!
Excellent, beautiful effect. It's a shame that the MyPaint brushes that Gimp incorporates don't have dynamics, because there are some really nice ones for that kind of effects. Thank you so much, as always, for your videos. Regards : ^ )
Hey there, MAK9 Marcos . Thank you for taking the time to post your nice comment again. Much appreciated.🙏 My paintbrush is indeed nice. Maybe in version 3.0 there will be more options, who knows? 😉 Have a great weekend and again, thanks! 😎Best, Jan.
Hi Tissan Kuhlman😄 Thanks for posting. And I will add from now on always a PDF file. Glad that it helps, you are the first to comment about it. Thanks again and have a nice weekend. 😎
Thanks A LOT Gimp workshop, My most urgent one would be the Bokeh Effect technique Nr:1 because i am very interested in it and it looks cool. The written version of it would help A LOT THANKS SO MUCH
Mr. Jan. Good greeting. In program (Photoshop), when you select a particular shape in a particular layer, and you select the shape in the selection rectangle, the mouse arrow turns into a two-headed arch. The user can use these two parentheses to move the selected shape to right or the left. More importantly, the cross-shaped sign (+) appears inside the specified shape, and the user can transfer the cross to any part of the selected shape, so that the cross is the axis around which the selected shape moves. For example, if we put the cross in the upper right corner of the selected shape, and move the shape in the selection guide (the bicameral arch), we see that the specific shape moves around the axis of the cross. My question: Is there such an application in the program (GIMP) ?. Note:- At a minute 1:35 of the video link below this letter, you are shown the meaning. Thanks and respect. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AIQ8ArWQiYc.html MJ-Sunbah
Hi محمد جواد سنبه Thanks for your input. Your question: In this tutorial, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sP3B4ZU0lgY.html starting at 5.00, (and later at 6.45) I use the pivot point, which is (I think) what you mean. 😃Good luck and please let me know if that is what you are searching for. It comes with the unified transform tool, which is available from Gimp 2.10 and higher. Have a nice weekend. 😎 Jan. GW.
Mr. Jan ...Salam Alaykum (Peace be upon you). I'm sorry because I could not reached what I want to you. Please watch the same video from 1:31 to 2:09 minutes, This is the application which I want in the GIMP program. Sorry for bothering you, and thank you for your patience. Greetings. M.J-Sunbah ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AIQ8ArWQiYc.html
Salam,@@MJSUNBAH In my previous comment there is a link to a video with the unified transform tool and the pivot point. Maybe it landded in your spam folder... The pivot point is what you mean in photoshop; Here is the link again: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sP3B4ZU0lgY.html AT 5.00 and later at 6.45 is the use of the pivot point. Please let me know if this is what you mean. Regards, Jan.
I deeply appreciate your effort to help me. The important point that I can not apply in the JMP program is Salam Alaykum Mr.Jan. when I have chosen the shape of the rectangle or box and it is equipped with a unified transform tool, and chose a pivot point, I do not fix the pivot point when I move to another layer, and go back to it again. In Photoshop, the point of the axis remains at the location chosen by the user, and when he returns to that layer, the axis point is fixed in its exact position without change, and this is what I can not do in the GIMP program. I am very excited that the GIMP program meets all needs. Thank you for your interest and help with respect. محمد جواد سنبه
Hello Mr. M.J-Sunbah again. You are very welcom. There is a lock option in the tooloptions under pivot, but it does not do what you would like. I am not sure what its for anyway. Maybe in future versions this will be better. Have a nice weekend. Jan, GW.
Hello Thnak you for time and formation. I have a question because I have error message when I try to save the brush: Erreur lors de l’exécution de script-fu-paste-as-brush : Error: Procedure execution of file-gbr-save failed: Erreur lors de l’ouverture du fichier « C:\Users\K\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\brushes\mybrush12.gbr » : No such file or directory What's is mind, and what I have to do? thanks in advance and have a nice day. KArine
Hi Karine Delbarre.😄 I am sorry to hear that, and I am afraid I can not tell you how to solve that problem.😔 You could try to find out if this directory actually does not excists, by following the adress. So then you should follow in your Windows explorer the adress, but when there are files or directorys hidden, you have to make them visible first... Sorry that I can't be of much assistence here. Have a nice day🌞. Jan.
Ah, I get it. Unfortunatly I have no tutorial about that. Sorry, but I have tutorial about changing an image into a pencil drawing, or a cartoon... maybe they can help. Anyway, best regards, Jan. GW.
