Thanks. All I know about Blender is how to edit videos, and even with that my knowledge is rudimentary. I would suggest checking out Mikeycal Meyers and tutor4u for Blender tutorials.

The only mistake was typing "english" instead of "English". It has to be capitalized. All the rest is perfectly fine.

Most of the Gimp tutorial videos I follow to the letter are your videos. They are clear and precise. However, I have yet to locate the links you mention in your videos, ie, updating gimps tool icons or certain brushes needed for the video. I've even gone to Logosbynick website. Can you direct me from here. I'm 72 years old and my brains are getting shot. thank you

i went to the tutorial and followed it (and yes its the same on mac) but the cloud brush wont work? iv`e installed other brushes before.

When erasing the excess clouds, couldn't you just use alpha to selection on the heart, go to the clouds layer, invert selection then delete?

You can even feather selection if you wanted some of the outside of the object like he did

it will result to a too sharp cut-out. feathering is an option, but doesn't look random enough

@@hadireg but we can use layer mask, then use alpha to selection and erase a bit randomly on layer mask.

Hi Nick I have followed all your steps on the brush installation video which is now sitting at C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\brushes but I still can't see the brushes in gimp. Any idea why? Thanks!
