I love this channel. I may have not properly sat down and watched any super sentai, kamen rider, or Ultraman shows since I was in my teens more than 15 years ago; but I have a yearly tradition where I catch up on all the new designs and themes for all three to see how each has progressed. Channels like this make it much easier to rewatch the old designs, and be informed on the latest ones and its amazing how much I find myself rewatching them over and over at odd intervals between the months in a single year.
1. The Champion of the Galaxy : GingaiOh 2. The Heavy Bull Knight : BullTaurus 3. The Crimson Rhino Hero : GigaRhinos 4. The Navy Phoenix Hero : GigaPhoenix 5. The Silver Shark Carrier : GigaBitus Scramble Mode 6. The Luminous Armored Champion of Galaxy : Chousoukou Gingai-Oh
2:44 - huh...never knew he had a head. Thanks, Lost Galaxy. Missed out this little detail. Also, BullTaurus/ Defender Torozord is still the best designed mecha this season with the coolest finisher.
Giga Bitus (108 meters) is the largest Sentai Mecha for over 25 year until King Caucasus Kabuto (220 meters) beat Giga Bitus record to be the largest Sentai Mecha Before Giga Bitus, King Pyramidder is the largest Sentai Mecha for 3 year from 1995 to 1998. Giga Bitus beat King Pyramidder to the largest mecha from 1998 to 2023 (from 1999-2022 no mecha beaten the Giga Bitus height until Episode 23 King Ohger aired, King Caucasus Kabuto become the largest mecha in Sentai world)
@@joshfarmer8408 GingaMan= Captain Planet and the Planeteers, if they were Native Americans. Lost Galaxy= Space colonists and a native, on a planetoid space station filled with plot convenience.
I think Lost Galaxy was mostly recognized because of its dark storyline and unfortunately the first time we were seeing a ranger teammate getting killed on-screen
The ranger that i'm talking about is Kendrix Morgan, she died in the "The Power Of Pink" episode before resurrected back in the last episode. The reason why Kendrix was killed in "The Power Of Pink" episode it's because of actress Valerie Vernon was diagnosed leukemia and left the show for some days for undergoing a chemotherapy, Saban continues to credit her in the opening of Lost Galaxy to help her pay for her treatment
While it was recovering in the ratings, from what I remember read the sales was were starting to go down eventually hitting eventually hitting an all-time low in 2000 with Timeranger until 2015. Things fared much better with the US counterpart but the recent success of Power Rangers In Space until PR Time Force (The US adaptation of Timeranger) basically it was the end of the second wave of the mature Sentai shows and by extension The first wave of mature PR seasons following those two programs having the lowest toy sales in Bandai history until it must be not be named and it's adoption. It always means for Toei reforcing a version of the 3 year rule myth something loses his profitability after a certain amount of time.
And yes, this actually had high ratings for its day but slightly lower toy sales from its predecessors in both versions but was still successful overall. Edit: My bad That's actually made a little more than its predecessor Megaranger but but made less than Ohranger and Carranger combined.
