Hi dearest Ginger & Jon ! I ‘m a bit late watching this but we are away at the moment and internet connection can sometimes be a problem ! Well, this painting has turned out to be quite awesome indeed ….yes and yes !! Everytime I think how effortlessly you paint and love watching your brush and hand gliding on the canvas…. Or being a snow scene…skiing !! The background is misty and mysterious and the vibrant cardinal is absolutely lovely ! We do not get them here but would love to see them for real !! I am looking forward to see all the gnome paintings ! I am glad I managed to do mine just before we left for our trip … otherwise I would not have had time ! You asked about what we wish you to paint and like Jon, I love bears and would love it if you could paint another one to go with the one of last year , maybe a cute white one ! Anyway, whatever you come up with, I always love seeing so whatever you feel you want to paint is great ! I wish you and Jon a fantastic week and send you both my love and HAH ! I wish we could have had lunch again this year when we were in Spain, but I did not want to bother you. If you ever get back to Barcelona, The Black Madonna was something to see with the train firde and guided tours.

I'm so glad you mentioned how to do, or why you do something - like using raw sienna with titanium white to add light to the sky, to some it's new to others its wonderful reminder. thank you so much. The raw Sienna was a recent discovery, as I was out of buff titanium and this color combination worked the best for the effect of a vanilla white.

Changed my mind on the survey question! I ticked 8x10 BUT the beauty of a 9x12 is that it is the same ratio as paramount pad 8X6 which I LOVE for just trying something out!

Thanks Ginger and Jon .. I get my annual fix of Cardinals and snow right here as we dont have these in Australia. I would love to see more ODGs and Large Blossoms esp. delicate colors .. loved the star in the snow .. a sign of the real reason for the season. TY HaHs. The light source reminder is helpful TY.
