Old lady here. This is just like the cool jazzy fusion stuff I loved back in the late 70s, without the hoky. This is some of the best, solid jazz / soul fusion I've heard in decades. Keep going! ❤
Seeing the growth they've made is amazing I love all of their stuff, new and old It's refreshing to hear him without the effects, he really has a very clear voice And shoutout to the guy on drums, he goes nuts at times
They are awesome live. Had the honor to see them perform in Sept 2019. They were on tour with Phum Vihurit. Loved the entire concert in a small venue in San Diego. He is also a comedian!!!!
Simply so exciting to see these bands in new genres to pop up: Khruangbin, Vulfpeck etc.. I can't explain it they all have this retro vibe like deja vu yet so refreshing
I found Ginger Root not to long ago and I love their sound. If anyone wants to write music like this let me know. So difficult to find musicians who want to write this type of music. I play drums.
Very nice - love the sound! I'm a keyboardist, as well (45+yrs.). However, I have no idea how Cameron is using those mini-keyboards - I'd be "fat fingering" chords on those little guys...
"octopus" come from Greek, thus it would have a Greek plural ending. To say "octopi" is to put a Latin ending to a Greek word. "Octopus," "octopuses" are both acceptable.
Very unique, creative group. Harmonically and rhythmically sophisticated. I hear a little Michael Franks and Steely Danish stuff. Loose the rhythm tracks... your drummer is good. Keep up your great work and dedication !
