Adorable. FYI. I use boxes to make my faux cakes. Cheaper than the foam. I have an addiction to gingerbread decor, lol. The cake is stunning. Blessings
That came out so lovely! I must also admit that it was quite satisfying watching the "swirling" of the rosettes, but now I need a cup of tea and a cupcake 😂
Carrie I also loved the ombré effect I was worried when I added the second layer since it looked so much darker I think it still came out nice. I’m sure your real cakes are beautiful. ❤️❤️❤️
No I have never done a faux cake before but in the past I have done cake decorating. You must have taken a cake decorating class at sometime, that cake is awesome. The cupcakes are cute also. You have inspired me to try a faux gingerbread one though. Thanks

You just make it look so easy yet I know it really isn't! I don't mind the look of the foam coz to me it looks like sponge cake! I would love to try this beautiful cake but I already know I will make a complete mess of it lol 😆 to purchase a ornament that big would cost a lot of money wouldn't it! The gingerbread picks I want to say cost me $4 I wish Michaels would have brought them back this year they are adorable. I’m sure you can find any gingerbread ornament and put a skewer on the back and it would have the same look. You should try it I’m sure it will come out just as beautiful. Hi JoAnn thank you. I look forward to seeing your cake I’ll keep an eye out for it. It took me one hour and a half to make mixing the paint with the compound is what took me the longest my hand kept getting tired from all that mixing. Happy Holidays.

Girl you need to try it it’s so easy. One thing if you do make the rosettes closer together I noticed when it dried that you can kind of see a gap between. I’m sure I’m the only one who notices.
