Gino is amazing because his vocals are spot on, and the same emotion, no matter how many times you see him perform these great songs! Just blows my mind. I'm a singer, and to have that consistent intonation and great performance, is truly astounding!
Absolutely Fantastic! This is Real Music performed by some of the most talented people on the planet. Very Long Time Fan here,...started when I went to 4 shows on the weekend of JAN 23 - 25, 1976, at the Bottom Line, NYC and have been to countless other shows over the years......always absolute perfection every time! No surprise that Gino is better than ever and has chosen, once again, this stellar band that has been together for a while now, to tour with. See you in NYC!
I will be at Sony Hall, in June, too. Isn't he spectacular?! I saw him for the first time last fall, in Annapolis, and can't wait to see him again. There is no one even close to his brilliance.
Saw him yesterday in Eindhoven! What an amazing performance. Stunning to know Gino is 71 years of age and still swings like a 30 year old! Loved it from the first note to the very last!
I am a 70 year old woman who's been watching, listening to, and drooling over Gino Vanelli for 50 years. How the heck does he sound the same today as he did then???? And still fine as wine, to boot.
Amazing evening, it was my birthday and couldnt think of a better way to spend it. Absolute talent and a lovely person too. Fantastic concert and a birthday hug I will treasure.
Having seen him 3 times, and having enjoyed enormously his music from his European years, watching this show and hearing him so up to date, powerful, with his amazing band (those guys are amazing!!!) and these arrangements I've never heard is.... touching and moving... I wish I could see him again, but it's kind of far from Argentina... I did it once, to Fort Myers, Fla, and came back with my mind in the clouds.. Just the best!!!!❤❤❤
My fourth concert with Gino. Still one The best Voices of his generation…….all generations for that matter. Unique songwriter ready to Challenge his oldies and transform in to New and ofte more jazz basen songs . Oh how I would love to se him work with The brilliant DR bigband
Thanks so much for this video. So moving in its simplicity; top-class musicians playing with dedication and feeling... No pyrotechnics, no hiding behind special effects... 💕
What the hell are you talking about? There were dozens of singers back from his era in the 70s and 80s. That did not the lip-synch. Only singers from the recent generations need that bullshit. You should do some research because you’re way off base.
Many singers back then did lip-synch. It's not a recent phenomenon at all. It was especially bad in the fifties, sixties and seventies when recording companies had total control of musicians.
Yesterday in the phil in Haarlem , one of the best concerts I've ever been to...but I have to say it sounded much better live than you hear in this video!
I fly from Switzerland to Copenhagen. We become on 04:00 PM the meet and Greet access. Some People come from spain and Australian. Also the Gig on 8 PM are wonderfull. Live are the best.Gino is a wonderfull musik man. Also the drummer is a professional player. Best regards from Zürich.
Late '70s, riding a car with an older friend of mine, he's playing Gino Vanelli and I go "jazz-like, I think I like it". He says "Listen to the drummer!" And just one or two years later Vinnie Colaiuta was playing with Frank Zappa. I have to re-listen to Gino Vanelli!
I prefer the band with Jo and Ross Vanelli and Winnie Colaiuta on the drums…. So much better… but nevertheless, Gino Vanelli, what a wonderful guy and singer, writter, performer!
Great job Gino. But....What happens live is that there is such a preponderance of drums in the mix that those wonderful keyboard parts, chords, voicings become buried. I'd love to hear a re-mix!
Gino is up there with all the greats Fagen Zappa Miles Holdsworth Morricone Marcos Valle Ivan Lins ... I listen more often to the A Pauper in Paradise suite than Daphnis and Chloë
