Giong Soc Son Temple is located at Ve Linh mountain (Soc mountain) in Phu Linh village, Phu Linh commune, Soc Son district, Hanoi. About 30km from Hanoi city center, convenient for tourists to move, this place is always an ideal destination for many people.
Surely, all of us, the people of Vietnam, all know the legend of Saint Giong fighting the An invaders, bringing peace to the South. Giong Soc Son Temple in Hanoi is associated with this legend, which has been kept until today. In the religious culture of the Vietnamese people, Saint Giong is considered the Immortal God, representing an indomitable, resilient person, ready to devote all his strength to repel foreign invaders.
This historical site was built during the reign of King Dinh Tien Hoang with a small shrine worshiping Phu Dong Thien Vuong and Non Nuoc pagoda. During the reign of King Le Dai Hanh, when he was with the army on the way to fight against the Song army, he visited this shrine and the king performed a ceremony to pray to Saint Giong with the hope that the war would be victorious and bring peace to the people.
And in that battle, our country won and the Song army had to withdraw to the country. To show his gratitude, King Le Dai Hanh ordered the reconstruction of the temple of Phu Dong Thien Vuong period to be much more majestic and magnificent.
After many years of renovation and construction, now Giong Soc Son Temple has Trinh Temple, Mother Temple, Dai Bi Pagoda, Non Nuoc Pagoda, Thuong Temple, Planted Stone, Saint Giong Monument and many stone steles.

4.3. Mother Temple
Opposite Dai Bi Pagoda is the Mother Temple. This is the place to worship the mother of Saint Giong. The area of this temple is quite small, but it is very sophisticatedly carved. Đi bộ lên đến tượng đài Thánh Gióng khá xa, bậc thang dốc. Người già hoặc dễ chóng mặt không nên leo bộ
