I got a new cat and I didn't know how to call him. He is black and white and when I look at him he just feels italian. And at the time Daft Punk started to play on my PC. So my cat is now called Giorgio to honour the legend. Also I have to say that it's kinda long name to call your ADHD cat so eventually we've shortenned it and call him GiGi. Another legend there. Yes, our cat!
So cool interview, Giorgio : great talent, great personality, great success. 🤩. Personally, I didn't know he was Real. I knew him watching funny youtube vidéos.
He definitely doesn’t need the money, nor the fame since he already has both, but he’s still touring and composing, which means he really does this for and with passion. Legend
Most of us didn't know but now we know a little bit. I'm 82 (older than Giorgio) and began playing in the early fifties and didn't know anything about him until 2021. We all learn something every day (or night). Yeah, I've listened to at least 100 of the Giorgio memes.
I wouldn't feel too bad. Today, people consume information differently. For example, music used to be delivered in a physical form like a vinyl album. Back then people would sit down and actually read and memorize every word on the album cover and in the liner notes while playing the music. That's how we knew who wrote the songs, produced the songs, played or song on the songs. We don't do that now. Now, we stream a song while we are doing other things and we never read the details anymore. When Giorgio Moroder became famous, he literally ushered in and popularized a musical sound that was new to do many people. He was everywhere. His sound became so ubiquitous we just got used to it being around and forget who popularized it. The most recent artist to do something a little bit similar is T-Pain with Auto-Tune. Giorgio Moroder didn't invent the synthesizer but he popularized it. T-Pain didn't invent Auto-Tune but he made it so popular that you hear it in every song today and we don't think about it. All that to say, don't feel bad. Today you have to search for musical credits. It's nice that Daft Punk showed homage to Giorgio Moroder for being their inspiration.
Moroder is a popular music genius. Have always loved the score to "Scarface" and those suspended chords. "Blinding Lights"/The Weeknd captures "that sound" of Moroder from the 80s. What a musical life Signore Moroder has had!
Finally after several weeks watching mems i see real Giovani Giorgio, actually everyone calls him Giorgio, very versatile person, specially when he flying…
So amazingly talented. And I didn't know who he was until the meme. What a what an amazing producer, musician and just so much talent. Thanks to the meme people for introducing us to him
You easily see and can tell he loves what he’s doing. Plus he maintained his personality through all of his success. Plus he’s still totally engaged in continuing the creative process. He’s more than ready to come out with more music. Not for the money. Just for the artistic pleasure. He seems to have an attitude of hey I hope you like and enjoy this.
I was like "Oh a new meme. Haha nice. Poor guy though, he tried to make a song and ended up a parody." and now I just learned he is a living legend and he didn't even make the meme music. 😅 Imagine having so much talent and such a full life. What a feeling!
donna summer!!!... dudes my hero blondie?......flash dance......take my breath away...... he is responsible for every fav track i grew up to....im so indebted to this guy.
I like how he points at the beginning of the video how he managed to make at least two great hits, and than picks up the machine gun and starts firing what he made, and its evergreen after evergreen, to the point that I started to be suspicious, but than I check and its true, and Giorgio is like "only two hits" and I'm like literally blown away, shitting my pants... "two hits, yeah right"
Incroyable... Le mec a hésiter sur Push it to the limit 😂😭🥲 LÉGENDE 🔥
How is it possible to love a person you’ve never met? Edit: that’s because you’ve heard him in everyone else’s music that you love! He discovered Donner Summer?!? Wow! Double edit: two Oscars? Wooooow!
1/ wonder what film he's working on now. 2/old coot is holding out on us i think.... i bet he's well aware of what the future of music is and he knows we cant handle it..... 3/id love to get hold of all his stuff that he hasn't released ...the stuff he wasn't sure about so just put it on the shelf.... i bet its better than 99% of stuff thats released to day. 4/what an actual legend
There are only two Legends that makes me proud to be an Italian: Giorgio Moroder and the late Ennio Morricone (RIP)! We are still soooooooooooooo lucky to have Giorgio on this earth! ...May God bless this unbelievable Man and Composer. I wish Him all the very best because He deserves only The best in His Life. Bravo Giorgio!😄😄😄 Caru Alambra 😘😘😘👍
Thank you, Giorgio, you are the best! If somebody ask me what is my biggest dream as music producer, i will tell him that is been a little talk with a guy that i call "master". This guy is for sure Giorgio Moroder! Long life and good health
