he's better at reading unidimensional fighters like askerov, forward high guard with loopy punches almost never throws jabs , jabs and crosses which are faster do need a sense of anticipation but for big punches you can just rely on reflexes
@@hr4f774 Indeed. He dismantled combination reliant kickboxers with ease. Once he got his combinations flowing, it was over. The Dutch stylists had it worse against him, Kraus, Souwer, Roosmalen etc. , all they managed to do was endure a beating, they couldnt get anything going against Giorgio.
Just for the record Dzhabar Askerov is Daghastani , the Armenians, Georgians, Daghestani, Chechens, Abkhaz, Adyghea, Ossetts and others are all from diffrent Caucausian tribes, This fight is between two Kavkaz fighters, Respects to both.
Petrosian was kicking a lot in the right side in the last round, a soon as he realizes that Askerov was woried about it, he trhow the low kick from below askerovs gard and landed his left leg, the final combination before the tko. Amazing fighter!!
petrosyan is the best guy! go armenia! his technique is one of the best just look how the opponent miss his punches. giorgio is young enough to write his name with golden letters to the history of k1!) he already won consequently two k1 world max tournaments!
Two great fighters here, Ballowall is right, we should enjoy and respect these two for bringing a good fight to the table, for all you martial artists out there the first lesson is RESPECT, for your teacher, opponent and fellow students.
Technically yes, but Petrosyan which is an Armenian name, was born in Armenia, migrated to Italy , he trains and lioves there and is an Italian citizen. But 100% Armenian
My GOD...the knees, the kicks, the punches, and the evasion at 6:15 are just amazing. I mean everything is deadly about this guy. i hope he win the championship.
Agreed. I don't know why people want to go to war over sports. I respect a strong athlete wherever they are from. Nationality has no bearing. When I cheer for an athlete it's for their skill. Not cause they make me feel better about my nationality or ethnicity.
Brave Askerov, does he train in UAE ? Lot of work to do, only one time hits..no blocking of kicks, no combinations, a long way to go to arrive at this level..excellent Petrosyan, very cool and powerful, excellent combinations..hard punches, kicks, knees...the top..
petrosyan is a very good fighter. the last time i saw him in the k-1 he has -0 lose. and 29 wins and 9 knock outs. hope he fights in the future whit the badr-hari of now.!!
@AllochGs You understand that his carrier started and developed in Italy and he also have an italian passport. So he's born armenian but he become a citizen and athlete italian. Nothin against having armenian roots anyway.
Martial arts are any sort of culmination of techniques having to do with combat, the word martial having to with military/war, and the word art meaning a system. The difference between sport and non-sport merely has to do with rules, which may create a different mindset, but that doesn't mean one cannot use their skillset for the other. boxing is still a martial art, as is wrestling and is driving a tank. All are methods used in combat.
@yobro250 fair enough. I respect your opinion and I'm glad you didn't take it offensively and flip out on me like most commenters on youtube. to each his own, i guess :)
petrosyan must have experience in both muay thai and boxing, cause he is fighting like he does, I mean you don't see a lot of K-1 fighters slip punches.
@nillerwin yeah k-1 is just like muay thai only no clinching no continuing knee's no takedowns no elbows wich back in the days was legal only not to the head and not 5-3 min rounds but 3-3 min rounds so muay thai still sounds more exciting to me
Praticamente perfetto
@mkl7387 k1 is kickboxing which is a combat sport... Well I disagree... I think their are clear differences between martial arts and combat sports...Of course you can have your own opinion but I think theirs a clear difference between the two
There are certainly historical connections to Ossetians (and to a lesser and more distant degree) Dagestanis. I agree that the "brotherhood" comes from the fact that Russians mostly considers these people to be one big Caucasian monolith and treats them poorly.
what is petrosyan's weight? Dzhabar seems far outweighed. Dzhabar is much shorter and same or smaller build.. Doesn't look right for them to be in the same ring.. :s
@nillerwin You do realize that they are fighting Muay Thai right? That is the martial art that both these fighters train in. To say that Muay Thai is boring but K-1 is entertaining is a complete contradiction.
