"The genesis of my Concerto for Piano and Orchestra takes on the contours of a film. At the Academy of Music in New York a young student leaves the score of one of my compositions on the lectern of his great master's piano. The maestro falls in love with my music and writes me an email to ask me if I would like to compose something for him. He is Jeffrey Biegel, one of the most talented American piano virtuosos. Enthusiastic by his words, and shocked by his talent in performing Rac 3, I do a madness and compose for him an entire concert for piano and orchestra, which he will perform in America together with the conductor, Maestro Jeffrey Reed. Here we listen to the beginning of the first movement of the Concert, during the recording session we made together in Milan."

Giovanni Allevi, is a world-renowned composer and pianist, responsible for a profound renewal in classical music, who has brought back the art of composition to the attention of the new generations. A philosopher and a composer, he has bewitched with his notes millions of young people who are fascinated by his example, inspiring them to explore the culture of music and the creative art of composition. A large number of degree theses have been written about him, and he has been given an Italian knighthood as a Cavaliere della Repubblica for artistic and cultural merit. He has also won, among others numerous awards, the Stella d'Oro al Valor Mozartiano (tr. Gold Star for Mozartian Valour) and as a Save the Children Ambassador, he is in the front line in defending children’s rights.
