Agree with the other comments. SLCC behaving shamelessly here. Given that Hans is continuing to motor up the rankings, they could do a lot worse than apologize to him, offer him a spot right now for next year and try to get him in on the commentary for the last few rounds.
announcer be like, "Anish, we paid you you to say what we want" Anish be like, I'm a stand up guy, Hans is superlegit and everyone heads up moving forward
Hans just destroyed three super high level GMS in a three week span in three time controls after qualifying for Speed Chess semis - people are going to have to come to terms that he is the best young player to come out of the US in 15 years. He shoudl be supported - he has a strong will and absoluley great stylistic play.
If you're going to dedicate parts of your videos to Hans Niemann, include him back in your tournaments and stop putting down American players. Making content with someone you've black listed is wrong.
Haha, first St. Louis Chess Club banning Hans and now posting about Hans ... you guys should never have banned him in the first place. He lost his temper in a hotel room, it can happen, esp. considering the strain and stress he has under with all the press about him non-stop. Show some empathy!
I'm a fan of Anish so I'm glad he managed to get through this interview without disrespecting Hans or pushing any innuendo around his defeat. Couple of his tweets post game were a bit off I thought, so glad to see he didn't carry that into this.
@@valdinonaminexdso6097 Ah, low! Sorry. As I said, I like Anish and his sense of humour. I also liked his ethics in not being part of the set which would attempt to keep Hans down. Although obviously there was also a financial aspect in that, so I'd be a bit disappointed if he took the money and then disrespected Hans by keeping up the low bar insinuation stuff. I think he's just more into comedy than being mean spirited.
Like anish but saint louis handle very poorly.. Hans going to crack to 10 soon if he continue like that, hes lvl is impressive, if they still try to shadow ban him.. Shame.. If you think hes one of the few american guys (lot of those guys switch) so he must have some support to catapult hes carreer. Was the opposite.
@@aleguitarra It's definitely not impossible. Given where he is now and given the lack of invites / chances to gain ELO rapidly, it's surely fair to say he should really be around top ten. And he's always looking to make games sharp. Sometimes he screws it up over pushing but if he cuts that out, Gukesh has shown dangerous players can do well in The Candidates.
what makes hans so great is for sure his mentality, dude is just so confident 24/7. I still think Anish has the better pure chess skill than hans, but Anish lacks the same mentality hans has, which is prob why he lost tbh, he just got stunned on the first day of blitz and never recovered
Neeh Hans is better at blitz than Anish. But yeah, Hans mentality is a lethal combination of selfish ego and self confidence. Also he is angry which i understand and hes acting like a teenager which he is. So everything is ok, i dont like companies banning him, they are just fueling Hans anger and they will end up very ashamed for being wrong. Its late but it can be worst if they dont stop this nonsense. Hans has proved by his own that hes one of the best and he deserves respect for that, forgiveness as he admitted what he did. Also, people changed, he did things without any bad intentions more than foolish teen behavior. Both sides act like kids, the difference was that Hans was 19 when everything blew, nineTEEN. He was a teenager and its understandable how he behaved, reacted... hes just being very disrespected at this point
I don't understand these comments. Hans trashed a hotel room and is not welcome for now as his punishment. What does that have to do with using his name in a video? There is nothing personal here. He will serve his punishment this year and can play from next year.
I don't understand the hotel thing. As far as I read, he paid for the damage caused before he left and the hotel wasn't in any way owned by the St Louis Chess Club. It's a third party. So I never really got their involvement at all.
@MrFootofDavros it's not a good look for the club when a player acts like this. When the club invites players for a tournament, it pays for their accommodation, so obviously when a player damages the hotel, it also concerns them. Paying for the damage is the least he had to do. The club also addressed that he made rude comments and didn't fulfill his concractual obligations. So it doesn't seem to be just about the hotel, but obviously that's such a bad look.
@@mehdimehdikhani5899 The contractual obligations stuff would be more interesting to me. If they explained that (maybe they did?), I'd be more onboard the decision. The hotel I'd say is more a bad look for the player and they'd be well within their rights not to invite him back. But as I said, I think it's quite a leap for the club to involve itself with something which was nothing to do with them.
The interview is about the game betwwen anish and wesley, not about Hans. There were a few comments about Hans at the end. It’s pure clickbait and farming views to put Hans’ name in the title as if thats what this 9 minute video is about. The refuse to let him play at the club but will happily exploit his name for money. I not for or against Hans, I’m just an objective person who can see how pathetic and shameful it is.
@benjaminireland7096 The last two and a half minutes is about Anish's match with Hans. And yes titles are made in a way so people want to watch it. That's how RU-vid works and it is not pure clickbait when the title is about 30 percent of the video. Good luck.
