When my dog died, I walked up to my horse, wrapped him in a hug and cried into his shoulder. He’s not very affectionate sometimes, preferring to be close but not always pet. But in that moment, he stood still and tucked his head around me. It felt like he was hugging me back. Since then, I’ve never doubted that he cares about me.

When I was a kid,,my horse waited for the school bus everyday. He would stand with his head over the gate. When the bus stopped he would prance around and snort until l could get to him. I sure do miss him.

Horses are extremely intelligent, and empathetic. My best friend's horse growing up would nudge our shoulders and rub his face against our heads when we were stressed or sad. I loved that horse even though he wasn't mine
Why does that surprise you? Horses are very sensitive to people, that's why they make very good therapy animals for kids with autism and a variety of other theraputic needs.
There are several just beautiful channels on RU-vid showing horses slowly walking, with their owner not guiding them, through hospices corridors. The horses pick a room somehow, as the doors are closed. They wonder straight to the ill person and its just magical. It's something special that you can't describe. It's just a psychological loving and kindness and like a spiritual healing. The person in the bed will often cry.. They can and do physically touch.
Horses are extremely empathic. I’m more surprised that she fell for the fake sadness and didn’t pick up on the prank. I think she is just showing how much she loves her friend and willing to comfort her even if she knows she’s not truly sad. Horses are truly remarkable beings. I just love them💖

Exactly why horse therapy is a thing for drug addicts, depressed people, etc. They're extremely caring about other animals us included, very empathic, and non judgemental.

Empathy is something you must own in order to give it. Understanding it doesn't do much. Psycho- and sociopaths understand it and pretend they have it in order to manipulate people, but they actually don't have empathy. I wouldn't be as radical as saying that "most" don't have it, but certainly a lot of people who lack it.
@@Emilia497 I see a lot of people just either forgetting to have empathy or just denying someone of empathy because they’re hatred took them over or it’s an online scenario. Not being able to see someone’s face can really cause them to dehumanize the person behind the screen.

Whenever I’m sad my horse just knows. She’ll come up to me and let me just cry into her mane; standing there so patiently. She’ll wrap her neck around me and wait. Horses are truly a gift, and humans are extremely blessed to have such loving and forgiving animals 💗
@w1tchy w0mann I haven't been physically able to own a horse for over 15 years. Luckily, where my daughter got her riding lessons are entirely cool with me coming and spending time with theirs. If I feel well enough I help in their care if not I just love on them.... and they love me back 💗
@w1tchy w0mann We got lucky while calling around and found a ranch that gave 1hr lessons for 35$ each (this was like 6 years ago though) hour long lesson/riding session. We bought her 6 hours in gift certificates one Christmas, to start her off, see if it was worth more investment. Obviously it was 🤣
My buckskin do something when my grandpa died and I was at the barn she would follow me lay her head on my head or shoulders and wouldn't leave my side and would run the other horses off and come back to my side she was a very caring and lovable horse

Don’t get me wrong but I was sitting their thinking you know some times I really feel like we as human-beings don’t consider the little things in life all to much to be great things I was sitting there at thanksgiving looking at my little sister and brother playing with the turkey and joking about it and I almost forget that that was one a bird with the iq of a roach but that was still something that Walked the earth at one point but we’re sitting here playing with it like a game I kinda felt bad and this Horse kinda rubs it in . Kinda like the whole thing with dolphins if you are drowning they will attempt to help because they know what drowning feel like. Idk people can really suck sometimes and be good too it’s just idk the bad seem sometimes a little over looked but I give them no sympathy till they watch as I did then they’ll understand this world is very vague but most of all cold so that’s why we gotta stick together to stay warm. I had an Arabian for 25 yrs he died at 37 yrs old. I seldom got much “my horse loves me” I was his only rider and I spent so much time with him. It wasn’t until my mother died and I had a broken heart and was sitting on a bucket. He came and dropped his head onto my shoulder and hugged me. That meant so much to me. People don’t think animals recognize emotions however they do.

Jesus loves you, I know death is something that we’ll all have to face, but if you repent and trust in Christ even though you’ll die in this life, in the next he promises eternal life with him. Now every person (me included) does evil everyday, lying, stealing, lust, etc. But delete that, Jesus had came down and laid the price for us on the cross to pay for our sins so that we wouldn’t have to spend eternity in hell. Awww so sweet! I have 4 rescues (dogs) in May my husband was diagnosed w/pancreatic cancer I couldn't cry infront of him......I went into my bedroom and fell apart WELL all 4 of them kind of fell into me, resting their heads on my shoulders & lap. It was something I don't think I'll ever forget the pure love was truly beautiful

Some species, like horses, primates, dolphins, dogs, some cats, and many different kinds of birds, can pick up on emotions from other species and react with empathy usually only saved for their own species. Its a big factor in defining intelligence and social abilities of a species, the empathy for another species.

I never trained her nothing but yet when I told her to sit or come she would obey, it's hard for me to describe but there was just something about her that made me effortlessly happy she was so loyal to me and I was devastated when I found out she had died while I was away.
The people who think that horses have no feelings, why don't you look at this. Whenever I am sad, my horses come over to me and seem to ask what's wrong. Horses are so very loyal!
I used to have a lot of horses and pigs and i still do have a lot of chickens and im getting goats. I want them back though. But people stole my stuff on my land...

......Dude, I had a friend growing up and she had horses... I was like 15yrs old when I met her and her horses, and would come over and help her do some of the hard work like lifting heavy bales of hay, and stuff that was easier physically for a guy to do.... one of her horses in particular was actually very affectionate and took a liking to me very fast.... so after like a year of hanging around and helping, spending time with the horses, I mashed my arm and was laid up for over 6mos.... The day I showed back up, my horse friend was at the way back end of field about 300yrds away and either heard me or smelled me or something and came running over full steam and actually like hugged me and rubbed me like a dog or cat would , for like 5min straight..... It was very very heart warming and touching.... I missed the horse just as much as it did me... they are very smart and affectionate...
if this isn’t the most adorable thing i’ve ever read i don’t know what is .... that moment would mean so much to me and i would think about it every time i’m not feeling well mentally....
@@ToxicSkull0 complex feelings include, depression, anxiety, the feeling you get when you hate someone but also love them, just thinking about where you are in life is complex emotions for there aren't many animals (almost none to my knowledge) that are able to think about the world like we do, to be able to disconnect ourselves from our own lives and think into the future for our grandchildren and their grandchildren

Go back 100,000 years when we were exactly mentally the same and we didn't have to think about whether we'll be able to pay next month's rent. It was mostly short term- hungry then find food, tired then sleep, thirsty then find water. Immediate results for doing stuff. Nowadays we gotta think about long tern stuff, like how our actions today will affect us when we retire. That's why things like anxiety are so common, most things we can't act on right now. You can't ensure you'll get a promotion if you work hard for a year but you can be sure you'll have food to eat if you forage for food for a few hours. Our brains were not designed to live the way we do now.
