I mean true but then how far do you go? If you never leave your house, you’re less likely to get assaulted but if we immediately replied to every assault victim by saying ‘well if you go outside of your house then... you know it is more likely’. It’s the same thing as victim blaming because using that response implies 1. You knew what you were getting in for/were being silly for doing something in the first place and 2. That it is reasonable to ask people NOT to do it at all. But when we do that we are limiting people’s lives and usually we are limiting people’s lives who are already in oppressed groups. By the same logic you can say ‘women should never make videos of themselves’because statistically women are victims of revenge porn more. Statistically that makes sense but morally you are saying women should change their behaviour instead of trying to actually proper laws to protect people and prosecute those nasty ass people who abuse others. PERIOD.

When you educate people on something you give them all the facts even the ones they don't wanna hear. If a video is never filmed it can literally never be uploaded. If sperm never enters your vagina you will literally never get pregnant. If you don't kill anyone and you aren't framed you won't go to jail for murder. We should be telling people the whole truth.

But if a kid asked you what the 100% sure fire way not to get pregnant was you would say abstinence. You inform them on other contraceptives and options but you still tell them that they could all potentially fail and they could get pregnant. Same thing with nudes and sextapes.

I feel like I'm a Real guest host right now :) Example: A wife has been abused in several ways for a while. She has decided to go. She is a stay at home wife/mother. She does not have money of her own. She saved up some money over the course of time and found he's stolen it. And left a threatening or mocking note. She also does not have access to the bank accounts or credit cards. He handles all the money in the relationship. She's pretty much stuck in this situation and may feel defected without help. She maybe able to get out but she's going to need outside help. This maybe an extreme example, but alot of women were in a similar situation not to long ago in our history. Some stay at home Wives/Mothers were placed on tight household allowances or budgets. It wasn't too long ago when married women were not allowed to work or earn their own money, go beyond their own homes and just be out and about alone. Example: The movie, "Sleeping With The Enemy" Yes, she saved money. But, we don't know how long it took for her to save. And what she endured. Yes, she was allowed to go out. He thought she was volunteering or working at the library. When she was actually learning to swim, a lifelong skill. Yes, she finally escaped. But, she felt the only way to be free was to be dead. I'd thrown the ring in the ocean while clinging to the buoy or out the Grayhound window myself. What I'm saying is, Financially Abuse exist. I had not heard of it until about 2-3 weeks ago. I was on the bus and read a sign and then saw a PSA on online. Initially, I thought, "Whatever, get a job, call your family, friends or an agency". The PSA skit made me really think about it and understand how someone can find themselves in this situation. Keep in mind, an important part of any type of abuse is to isolate the subject. If it's physical isolation or mental isolation or systemically isolation. They want them alone. Just be mindful that financial abuse and any type of abuse can and does exist right under our noses.

Well, I used to think and feel that way, until I discovered that those type of guys will feel just as entitled (or even more so) even if you pay for everything. A guy who is "kept" hasn't invested himself and his hard earned money in you and so they often take it for granted or even use YOUR money to lure a girl on the side so they can feel "like a man" to some girl. So, just date better guys.

I read a Feminist article that was based on the social phenomenon called 'Masculinity' and it was about addressing sexual harassment for not only mens part but also women having aggressive masculine outlooks on the same sex. This article discussed how women behave the same as men who don't know how to treat women equally and women are more likely do to the same sex due to influence. I personally use to be guilty of this because my masculinity has been built by a male dominated world; so much so that men fear me. But now hitting 30; I don't shame women for having their sexual freedom (whether they're male/female). I only dislike it when (wo)men (with as much sexual freedom as they have) are ungrateful for enjoying others effort to please them and vice versa. It's an experience. In my opinion; I don't think women should be shamed for any tape. If an everyday woman who's not in the porn industry is being shamed; then what do we think about the women who consent to creating sexual content for married and single men to have a good wank to before they hit the sack with their lovers or alone? Sex shouldn't be wronged even if someone is making their own choice. We don't live our lives the same. It just shouldn't be shamed and that is the audiences responsibility to understand that sex should be consensual not abused.
